Currently looking at getting this service. We are moving to a rental house. The owner will only allow new wall outlets installed in the wall and not on the outside of the house.
Is this something that the tech will do as included with the install? Or will there be a additional cost.
Currently in the room that I need the gateway there arent any outlets. Does the RG need to have the phone line and coax connections to the rest of the house? Am I just stuck with the existing outlets and working with what is there?
Thanks for any information.

It's most likely already hooked up from the outside (and inside) with coax?
In that case, there should be no problem as they just backfeed from the telephone wires outside. Exisiting coax outlets inside can be used for TV service, but they'll need to change the connector ends out on each end of coax (even behind wall plates).
Phoneline does not have to be in the same room as the RG, but it will need coax, and for that they can put a line in there. I don't think they'll charge to install a coax line for that room; if they do, you can usually get them to remove the charge.
Be aware that EVERY TV REQUIRES A UV BOX. You cannot just hook coax up to your TV and get the service; box is required. You can share an STB with another room, both watching the same channel OR get a Wireless STB.
The first thing the installer will do is find out what you want/need and where.

Ok thanks for that info.
If they decide that new outlets need to be nstalled can they only install going on the outside exterior of the house and not above and down the inside of walls?

I thought you weren't allowed to add wiring outside, only inside?
They can install from exterior to an outside wall, but maybe a better option is on the inside around baseboards? It's actually easier for them to do the latter, and in some cases (markets/depends on the installer), they will charge for pulling cable through/down walls.
Installation from the outside is normally just to bring service inside the home (if they're going to run Ethernet from the NID/outside box, or there is no existing coax).
