vTap Player playsYou Tube videos on Blackjack; TCPMP or Blueapple no longer needed

I just stumbled across this today while searching on Smartphone and Pocket PC magazine's web page.   For Samsung Blackjack users like myself who've found it frustratingly difficult if not impossible to watch You Tube videos without the help of TCPMP software or Blueapple, go here:   http://veveo.net/index.html.  People, it works.   This is the best You Tube solution for the Blackjack I've ever seen, and it's free.    Videos take less than 10 seconds to load and those I've played thus far play flawlessly.  I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust the volume without disturbing co-workers; in the meantime I've been using my bluetooth headsets.  Downloading the software is simple and quick; I saved it to my storage card.  The software is sent from the website via SMS.  If by using this it doesn't work for you, I'd be shocked.  For me, so far, so good!

I went to the site and clicked on the SMS send but all I got was a link back to the site. Nothing to download.

Try it again, it worked for me this morning.  Make sure you enter your area code and cell phone number in the box then click the button.  Not more than a minute later you should see a SMS from vTap in your inbox; click on the link within the message.  The link will take your browser to the download page.  The software is somewhat buggy; if you close and reopen the software it may not work properly.  In fact I've had to reboot my device a time or two to get it working properly because when I tried to reopen the software after closing it I got a blank menu screen.  I may leave it on in the background if it doesn't drain the battery too quickly; I will bombard the corporate office e-mail with requests for a fix.  But when vTap works, it really works, no doubt about it.

I d/l'd it from the SMS ... so far I like it. But it is LOUD! Used the volume rocker on the side to control that.

Use the silver ring on your Blackjack to control the volume (top of ring increases volume, bottom of ring decreases volume).  I find I have to leave the software running in the background because if I close it then reopen it, I cannot access material (either video or Wikipedia).  Anyone else having this issue?  If so were you able to resolve it and how?   I sent an e-mail to vTap tech support for assistance and or a fix.  Otherwise this program is the greatest thing since sliced bread for Blackjack users to gain near instant You Tube access.

I have stopped the program and restarted it with no problem. Never had any problems in that area yet.

Which version is the correct one? I tried both and they both work.

Which version is the correct one would depend on what platform you're using.  My Blackjack runs on the WM5 Smartphone platform so that's what I downloaded.  If either download works fine on your phone, then that's cool too .

Re: vTap Player playsYou Tube videos on Blackjack; TCPMP or Blueapple no longer needed

Since yesterday afternoon I haven't experienced any buggy behavior using vTap.  I can now start it, stop it, and start it again with no problems.  I emailed vTap tech support -- they responded an hour or two later and were very courteous and helpful.  Maybe the techs made some "under the hood" adjustments, maybe not, but all I know is that I've had no issues with the software after speaking to them.   vTap is the real deal and works as advertised.  I don't think I'll ever have to rely on TCPMP or Blueapple again.  I'm a very happy vTapper! :smileyvery-happy:
