The problem persists with my Cisco ISB7005. There is a pretty lively discussion on this issue in the Onkyo user forum:
It appears that some models of Onkyo receivers are more prone to this problem than others. My Denon receiver and my Samsung TV have absolutely no problem playing DD2.0 audio from my U-Verse receivers. Tghis suggests that AT&T may not be the sole problem. Rather, it may be an incompatability, of sorts, between products.

Based on what I read on this topic I requested a pioneer 2250 reciever and my audio drop out problem has corrected itself. I got a pleasant surprise as welll because the new reciever has double the recording space as my old one. Had it about a month now and not a single audio drop out. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the post and for supporting what others in this thread have said. Believe the manufacture of your VIP2250 is Motorola rather than Pioneer. You're lucky the 2250 is available in your area because in a lot of areas, like here, it isn't. Curious what kind of audio receiver you have where the drops have disappeared? Thanks.
