I got Uverse Internet service back in January and I also still have an AT&T landline. I now want to cancel the landline service and keep the Uverse internet. Will cancelling the landline cause any problems with my Uverse internet since it's on the same line?
When I originally got the Uverse internet, it took 2 or 3 days and 3 techs visits to get the uverse internet and landline working together at the same time. They eventually said the wiring setup was wrong somewhere in the line as one of the previous techs didn't realize I still had landline phone service. The last tech finally went down the street somewhere for about 30 minutes then came back and it was all working. So now I'm nervous about cancelling the landline and don't want them to also turn off the Uverse Internet service.

Well, it's AT&T so anything is possible.
Normally there should not be any technical issues invovled in turning off you POTS phone service and leaving the internet intact. More often than not the problems arise through administrating the disconnect, someone in the office messing it up.
If you are receiving a "bundle" price (POTS/internet combo), you price for internet will go up after disconnecting the phone.
