I have uverse installed in my house and I enjoy it very much, except my internet connection to my laptop drops when I walk around my house. I have the i38 HG 2wire router, dearly miss my previous net gear router. I get great connection with my laptop only if I stay in certain places. Moving closer to the router does not help either. I lose connection if I move a few feet then it takes a few minutes to regain the signal. My TV's have no connection problems. What can I do to keep the signal while moving around with my laptop?

You can use another router for Wi-Fi (and turn it off in the UV router).
Have you tried changing the Wireless channel in the router's software?
I'm not sure if the link below is the same for your router model, but you can access the main page at:
Go to the page below (if you haven't accessed it before, you'll need the password on the sticker on your UV RG--modem/router--bottom/side edge).
http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_2_1
Make sure the WIRELESS CHANNEL is NOT set to Auto. Pick another Channel and hit Save at the bottom.
To find out which channels your neighbors are using, download inSSIDer .
Find a channel that is not being used by many, and/or one that is not overlapping others on the graph.
For SECURITY--AUTHENTICATION TYPE, are all devices set the same as the UV RG? WPA2 is the most secure (at this time) and recommended. All devices should have the same password as the RG.
Detailed info about Wireless Interference can be found in this post.
