I have had U-verse internet since Mid December and I was told I would get speeds up to 12mbps and I was getting 10mbps I was ok with this. for almost the first month this was the speed I had Then it droped to about 2mbps and I'm now finding the time to fix this problem and was wondering if anyone has any advice as to why this is happening before I call At&t.

hmm have you tried turning the router off then back on again? there could also be a loose connection on the side of your house. like in my case one of the lines coming in from the street to the box was loose and i tightend it down and speed jumped back up and is consistant at 12mbps.

sorry for late reply have been busy with work. But look for fraying cables or loose connection. it would probably be better to just have an att tech come out and take a look at everything they have all the tools to scan for problems with the line.

Call in and ask. I had the same issue and when I called in the rep told me that they had me set up on some automatic switching thing, and he had switched me to a dedicated one which then solved my issue.
