Call tech support and see if they can change the number of rings for you, I believe only they can do it.

You may enter the AT&T U-verse chat service line which will take you to Tier 1 support. You have to ask them to transfer you to Tier 2 as Tier 1 can't change the number of rings. Tier 2 can increase the number of rings from 4 to 5 and not more than that.
Note: I guess Tier 2 will be open only from 9AM.

Is there an update on this topic? I want to reduce the number of rings, since I use my landline phone only for voice mail. I'd prefer that it ring only one or two times.
