Just installed less than 24 hrs ago and already unhappy!

So I just had unverse tv and internet installed less than 24hrs ago. I have already had the internet drop signal to the xbox 2 times when trying to use a laptop at the same time. I have already been on hold to with one rep for 55 minutes to be told everything looks great. I am now on to a 2 tier specialist who is going to try and make my signal stronger. He thinks my xbox is not strong enough to pick up my wireless signal. I was with Comcast for years and my xbox NEVER or any other issue with dropping signals or whatever. He is now telling me I may need to purchase a wireless adapter to plug into my xbox to get a stronger signal? REALLY? Why would I need to buy something to make your services work for me? Maybe I made a mistake by switching. I was caught by up by the whole house dvr and promo offer. I don't know what to do. I refuse to spend my days on hold for hours to resolve an issue I never had before. Sorry if this is a long rant but Im just irritated and then to be less than 24 hours into the service really sucks. Any ideas?

I would never rely on a wireless connection for gaming regardless of the provider. The added latency and constantly changing throughput is a good way to get fragged.![]()

I am not great at all this. I installed and I honestly dont know what I am looking at. I have a tech coming out today. The tier 2 rep said the data info was not coming back from the system correctly? Im not sure what there referring too. I have one other question if you can help. I cant get my tv to rewind or pause or do anything other than play. I also cant view how much storage space I have available on my dvr. It say this info is not available please check your dvr well which tv is the dvr? All my tvs say the same thing.

I never had a issue when with Comcast. Not one issue. I dont know what to do. Can I hard wire my sons xbox to the cable box or what do I do?

Try this unplug all the boxes from power, including the RG (the one not directly connected to a TV)
Replug the RG. When all lights are green rrplug the DVR. When you have a picture replug the other STBs.

Neither of those things should be happening. I don't know the cause for those issues. When the tech arrives, he should be able to address those issues.

So, the DVR must be one of the two in your kids rooms. Get the numbers so we can see which is the DVR. I said it was bigger, but that may not apply to the newest ones.

lol I know I'm being impatient. I just want the service to be everything its supposed to be. There now saying its a line issue. I'm losing 2 mbs from the line but the tech called someone and they said the line had nothing to do with wireless. That maybe we need a higher internet package. I purchased the 12mbs. I questioned whether I should be with the larger package. I dont have much going on just 2 wireless laptops and a kid who plays xbox live. So Im confused and not sure if the tech know whats going on since he keeps calling someone to run everything by and get ideas on how to fix it. He still cant get any of my system to record any shows. So I will sit back and let him figure it out. I really just want to be happy with my service like you all are ![]()

Don't wait, stand over his shoulder and watch what he's doing and ask lots of questions. That's the only way to verify what he says he's doing/does/did.

Im not even sure where to post this...ugh. So I am 48 hours into service and my service is still intermittent. I have had my rg replaced and he replaced the dvr 2x's. My service keeps dropping out. Ill have service then the whole house loses it. I called tech support and they said the is some kind of cross interference and it causing the signal to drop to nothing. I never had any issues with Comcast and not sure if I made the right decisions. I know there different companies and setup different but how could I possibly have so many issues???!!!!
