Honestly, there is probably nothing that you can do but wait. If AT&T decides it's in their best business interest to install another VRAD to service your neighborhood that is a possibility. Otherwise there is the hope that with the VDSL2 technology that the service reach will be increased. The technician who was at my house said this in the works. But 8 months ago the technician who initially installed my service said caller ID on the TV was in the works . . . and I still don't have that feature.
Just be aware that at 3800 feet you probably won't get the maximum number of HD streams offered. I'm at 3500 feet and I only get 1 HD stream. I'm waiting to see if I can get more than 1 HD stream when the VDSL2 service reach update occurs, otherwise I may have to switch to another provider as the 1HD limitation has caused me much grief during football season.
