New replacemen t RG but no phone service... .fast busy.

Received a replacement RG yesterday. Long story short, I had the TV freeze issue. So far, so good on the new RG however the phone service we have is not working. I have a fast busy signal.
In my infinite wisdom I just swapped the old RG and backup with the new equipment and didn't pay that close attention to the paperwork and self install guide. Therefore I missed the part about calling the activation number.
Again, everything works great except for voice and I have no way to call the activation number from our home phone due to lack of voice.
Any ideas other than a power cycle on the RG?

Power cycle the RG, and see if the resolves the issue. If no, call Technical Support.

When I first installed my U-Verse voice, I thought similar to you about calling the activation number, but at least with my new servie, I was able to call teh activation number using my u-Verse line even though I couldn't call any other number.

That wasn't an issue. That was the way it was supposed to work. When new service is installed, you can't make any calls other than to the service activation number. My comment was bing made in case the OP was having ghe same issue. Once they got a new RG, they may have needed to call the activation number again to activate their voice service on the new gateway...

note: do not do this If you have any static ip's or wireless settings that DIFFER from the name "2wire***" and wirless password ********** printed on the sticker of the RG.

If you can call ts using the phone number in my sig. Let the csr know whats going on with your service. It could be something that they can correct by phone.
