Does U-verse voice use QoS or some other scheme so that voice packets do not get lenarded by data packets? With only 1 mb of upload capacity, I would be concerned that a large upload could take all the available bandwidth and cause problems with voice service, if the RG did not use a strong QoS scheme to ensure the voice packets priority.
Or, is there some sort of separate "PVC" for voice packets? Do voice calls use part of the 1 mb upload capacity, or is it separate? I am not sure, but I suspect that cable modems somehow put the voice traffic on a separate PVC (if that is the correct term).
Thanks,
Eric

Cable modems that have built in phone ports where the voice service is provided by the cable operator, not say, Vonage, that is.............
