blocking incoming text provides offensive response

I signed up to block an incoming number from mdaughter's phone.  I tested sending a text and the sender recieves the following response: Your message was unable to be delivered because the destination subscriber has no credit.  That is probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen.  It tells the sender you have $$$ problems.  What a useless response

Probably better than saying 'Your message was unable to be delivered because the destination subscriber no longer wishes to be contacted by you and has blocked your number'.

I personally think THAT would cause more problems.

That's odd they get a return text message saying any response. You'd think they would just send a message and get no reply back.

That is not what is supposed to hapen, i should just seem like the message got delivered unless you have your phone set to request a delivery report as far as you should know it got delivered just fine.

Tmobile gives the same message. What I have gathered it goes by credit as in allotment not actual credit. Like if you allow 25 texts a month you will have 25 credits. So If you don't understand the system or the person who sent the text would think the way you have. They could have worded it better or used a different term though to reduce misunderstandings.

How about...   "Your message was unable to be delivered.  Destination number unavailable."  ?

If you've bothered to block their number OR don't have credits, then "unavailable" is all the sender needs to know.

Simpler but sometimes those types of messages will cause just as much trouble as what it currently is. They way you mentioned could lead to harassment. Some people do not get a clue. It's sad I know.

I tested this just today and the message said you are not available at this time.

Hi, is there anyway of changing that, I wouldnt like my child to know Im setting parental controls that say this number has been blocked

From what I have read on here, there is no way to eliminate the message to the child.

I tested mine today and it just said something like the AT&T subscriber is unavailable at this time.
