Have you tried doing a hard boot of your RG? If not, disconnect the ac cable for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. Then check to see if the problem shows up again.

Hi,
I had this problem for over a year. Tried all kinds of fixes from AT&T and none of them worked. Finally purchased an Apple Time Capsule to uses as a router and with the added feature of a 1TB drive for a backup location.
Converted the 2Wire DSL Modem/Router to a modem only and use the Apple Time Capsule for my router. I did this 11 months ago and all the trouble with dropping DSL connectivity have disappeared. Not one drop since.
Another benefit from the Apple Time Capsule is that it will work with either a PC or Mac. Plus it gives access to muldtiple wireless protocal. It comes with both 802.11g and the faster 802.11n.
If you do decide on purchasing Time Capsule, you can get a refurbished one from Apple at a discounted price.
Good Luck
