Just downloaded windows 7 and downloaded drivers for my wireless... I keep losing connection about every 5-10 minutes(especially when i try to download something) so im gonna keep this short. What is the problem and how can i fix it?

also um i can allaborate on the symptoms. ill try to make a page load or try to play an online game and then my ping will spike to 1000 and disconnect shortly after...

Hi
Please do the following:
1. Please log into your modem by opening up a web browser(i.e.. Internet explorer) and in the address bar please type: 192.168.1.254
2. Click on Settings tab
3. Click on Wireless
4. Please change the Wireless channel to 11
5. Please change the Power setting to 10
6. Click save
This should resolve the issue if it is wireless. If you keep having the same issues, please contact customer support so they can check the line at 1-800-288-2020.

We have the same problem on our 3801HGV model gateway. I see where I can change the Wireless channel to 11 but I don't see an option to change the Power setting to 10. Under Advance Setting there is a power setting that is currently on 400 mW but no option for "10".
What else can we do to keep the Apple Macbook connected to the wireless?
