Strange happening today. Noon hour. We're eating lunch and watching the local news. All of a sudden the emergency warning sounds (didn't see what it was, I was in the kitchen) and the non-DVR STB in the living room initiates a reboot on its own. I check the DVR in the kitchen.....and the STB in the computer room and neither one of those is rebooting. The one in the living room reaches the orange AT&T Uverse screen and stalls. Wait....wait....wait.... I get tired of waiting and I initiate a power-off reboot. This time the stupid alarm goes off again followed by normal reboot which proceeds normally and ends with everything back to normal. Do any of you have any suggestions as to why just one of our STB's would do this all on its own? This is a new one on us....in 2 1/2 years of Uverse service.

Okay....I'm glad you brought this up. This exact thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago on the STB in our bedroom. Ours happened around 8:00pm when the emergency test deal started. Our DVR, other STB, and Internet were fine. I also had to do a power off and back on to get the STB back operational. I was wondering why this happened also. Never had this issue before. Weird.

IIRC - Ours did the same thing. Sounds like AT&T needs to be brought up to speed on this development but since we are peer-to-peer, who will tell them? ![]()

I will escalate this - before I do have you seen any other threads in the forums about this? I want to make sure I send all the "evidence" I can. Thanks! ![]()

We had a severe alert last night that did not cause a reboot. So, Wendy, you could escalate this by saying that it may be an issue and it might warrant some testing.
