It could be an exciting night if the old satellite comes down where we can see it.......AND it may soon be an exciting time in the scientific world if experiments carried out at CERN can be repeated by other physicists. Scientists at CERN believe they have observed neutrinos traveling faster than the speed of light.....Einstein's speed limit of the universe. I assume at least some of you have seen this report:
As always....to be accepted....the experiment must be successfully repeated by other scientists. I have read that some theorists have proposed that light itself may have traveled faster than it's current top speed back during the very early beginning period of the universe. All very fascinating. I love it.
Keep an eye on the sky tonight....and keep your heads down.
EDIT: OK.....I'm sorry. Getting older by the minute. I completely missed the previous #203 thread. I'm embarassed. Can one of our mods please move this one for me over to the original thread and then delete this one? Danke.

NP, it's the thought that counts.
Besides, you were on *vacation*.
And I think they're working on our brains--I saw a story recently about using Insulin (delivered via nose spray) that is having great results in stopping/slowing Alzheimer's from progressing.
It was a story on the local news, but this is another link w/vid.

I used to eat a whole lot of Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos but too much MSG for me.
Now we buy Tostitos Restaurant Style white corn/whole grain chips (big ones). But you need some kind of dip or salsa with these. I'll position some on a paper plate, cover with finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese, nuke for about 40 secs, and sprinkle the hot sauce on. Wow, are they good! ![]()
Both of these are Frito-Lay products.

We like the Bite-Size Rounds with sliced natural cheese, smothered with Pace HOT Picante! But we put Picante on everything down here, even eggs, LOL!
BTW, you can thank a Texan (San Antonio) who invented Fritos! His little friend Lay came along later, and the rest is history. And, IIRC, they're located in Dallas. Go, Texas!

It really sucks up here that there are a lot of "hot" type things you can't find. Most of the picante sauces at the groceries come in mild or normal with no actual "hot" ones. Doesn't make a bit of sense since there's a whole lot of people around here that love hot picante sauce.
I can't find bean dip with jalapeños either and they used to sell it everywhere. I can only find Ortega "hot" Taco sauce at Meijer and they don't sell it at Walmart or Kroger. I questioned a Manager at Kroger about this once and he said most groceries have to purchase a certain "package" from the taco/picante sauce providers and unfortunately the "hot" ones aren't included. Duh, we eat more than just corn in Ohia!
Whenever I go to McD's in the morning I always put a couple of the hot picante sauces on egg & sausage burritos. Good stuff.
I use a lot of Tapatio picante sauce too on food we eat. Was turned onto it in CA and like it a bunch.
BTW, I know we aren't talking about the real "hot" hot sauces that some of you down there may be used to. I have a bottle that came in a little wooden outhouse called "_ss Blaster" that will make your eyes water. LOL.
Hey, Frito-Lay is located in Plano, Texas! LOL, and still the DFW metro area. ![]()

So they said, I don't know where it comes from now; a big company bought them out (no, I'm not going to go check the bottle in the fridge, LOL!).
Well, we Texas folk here could take up a collection and send you a case? Hot, Medium, Mild, or all 3?
Try WM online, bet they can get it for you, order it and they can ship to your store for pickup.
I bet you can find the Chinese hot sauce that puts Tabasco to shame! They call it rooster sauce and it is HOT! You can even order it online.
I know, we've probably discussed this before. Rooster sauce makes me cry! ![]()
Maybe Dallas people here can tell us more about Fritos' true HQ. I remember Dallas on the package as a kid, so maybe they moved to Plano?

I like this green habanero sauce on my tacos, a few strategically placed drops is all you need, it's quite hot and doesn't have the vinegar taste.
There's an authentic Mexican grocery near me that carries a lot of different salsa and picante imported from Mexico that are great and you can't find them in a regular store.
As spd eluded to, the Chinese have some kick'n hot chilie sauces and I've used them in stir fry and to spice up beef stews. As far as sea food goes, give me some old fashion Tabasco sauce and I'm in heaven.

I LOVE the retro bag. When I was in college (80's), one of the cafeteria's had "knock off" taco flavored Doritos that were better than the real deal. I don't recall trhe name but it something like Ron-Tico or Tac-Tico, but they were GOOD!

I'm a hot sauce connoisseur myself.
All of the ones listed so far are delicious, I've tried them all.
But without a doubt, the one that is the hottest has yet to be mentioned: Dave's Insanity Sauce.

This was the first hot sauce on the market where the heat was "engineered". Most hot sauces, even really hot ones, are naturally hot and contain the capsaicin directly from the peppers they are being made from. Whatever the capsaicin level in the peppers, that dictates the capsaicin level in the sauce, so there's an upper limit as to how hot it can be. Dave's Insanity sauce is made by using pure capsaicin extract in a pepper flavor base to get the heat level they want. This results in a sauce that can be hotter than what any pepper can naturally create.
I can put Sriracha by the tablespoon with my food no problem, and to me, Tabasco is merely a flavoring agent.
But in an entire pot of chili, 2 drops of Dave's Insanity sauce is easily detectable (and hot), 1 teaspoon will make the entire pot inedible.
All of their sauces and flavorings are available here: www.davesgourmet.com

This Dave won't touch any of that Dave's sauces. My (late) son-in-law tried some of that at a festival. You could literally watch the sweat beads forming on his forehead. One right after another. AND he could eat the hottest of the hot (or so we thought (nice rhyme)). He could not get to a cold drink, fast enough.
As for me, spice, flavor and savor are what's important. If y'all want the heat, go for it but as for me, I think that it mutes the true flavor of what it's on.

SJ, indeed I've heard of Dave's Insanity Sauce and talk about liquid fire. I have a good friend who uses it and eats whole habaneros like they're nothing. He had me put a few drops of Dave's Insanity Sauce on my tongue once and I thought I was going to die!

I was watching an episode of Man v. Food, the chef was making a sauce for some atomic chicken wings, threw every kind of pepper imaginable in the blender along with various dry chili flakes, hot BBQ sauce and topped it off with a few drops of pure liquid capsaicin and then coated the wings with it, all while wearing rubber gloves and a respirator.

OK......I need help. Suddenly I have discovered an anomaly showing up in my image folders. Usually in a folder that contains a bunch of image files there is a "Thumbs.db" file. That is normal. But recently, like in the past week, another file has been showing up called "Zb Thumbnail.info" What the heck is this? I did a search of my C:\ drive and there are a total of 149 of them scattered around the most recently added folders of image files. Has some outfit loaded an update containing a new feature?......Is this an infection of some sort?....
I would much appreciate guidance on this.

Using Canon's Zoom Browser software? (zb)
I do, and that's why I see them. Annoying thing is they'll popup on my desktop for no reason (where I save photos for posting). I just delete them and haven't had any problems, yet.

Yes, SPD, I do have Canon's Zoom Browser app. on my PC's. Just recently updated it to the latest version. AND...you are correct...that is where it is coming from. After I posted my question I Googled it and was taken to the Canon forum where the answer was. I rarely us this app. Just don't need it because I have other software that I use to manage and edit my images. So I may just uninstall it....and get rid of the problem. Thanks for your come-back.

Phil sure cooled the HOT Topic off. ![]()
Now I know why Uni is always so busy. He is working off the hot stuff.
Not much into the hot stuff. My Mom could not even eat onions. We always had a big garden so I know what green beans and all kinds of field peas.
Besides anything with onions there were two foods not allowed on the table. The English Peas and anything from the sheep or goat family. Dad had too much mutton and E Peas in the service during WWII. I don't think Mom bought much at the store but meat, milk, butter, flour, cookies, and bread. When you can and freeze fresh picked vegetables you eat well.
