I want to do nothing but things aren't going to work like that around here.
Most likely, my place will be the hangout if it's hot enough...that's what happens when there's pool involved. Memorial Day won't be a realxing one for me since I'll have to do the entertaining. I am liking the fact that I don't have to go back to work til Tuesday, though, considering I am off since yesterday. LOL!

Well, those are my plans, but something is always going wrong around here, so I may have to eat my words AND plans. ![]()

Alfie is doing better. I spotted him licking his empty food bowl this evening so I fixed him a small supper and he ate it with a little prodding in the form a bit of peanut butter smeared on the top.
Wow....this cough medicine the vet gave him really works. Wish the stuff they sell for humans was that good. It's powerful stuff.....one eye dropper full every 6 to 8 hours. In general I think he is feeling better. The Westie spring in his step is gradually returning.
We have a college graduation reception for one of our grandsons tomorrow afternoon and evening and then on Sunday we will be attending a family reunion on my wife's side of the gang. Her mom and dad have been gone for several years but she and her brother and two sisters.....plus all the grand and great grand children still maintain the tradition. Monday will be a day of rest and recovery.
A Veteran – whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve – is someone who, at a one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America’, for an amount of “up to and including his/her life.” ...Author Unknown

From what I read it's basically the same stuff. The difference is a ten pound body compared to a 160 pound body and how poorly our human bodies have become at metabolizing/utilizing what we put in them.
:4:30 this morning I get the vibrating bed, right after that, the cold wet nose on the neck as Jello tries to burrow her way under the covers. She does not like thunderstorms.
On another note, Friday was the wife's last day after 35 years teaching.
If anyone can refer me to a good psychiatrist I'll probably be needing one in about six or eight months.![]()

Thanks, better now I guess, before our state completely renegs on the Teachers Retirement Sytem while giving obscene tax breaks to huge corporations (listen up AT&T), which morraly, should not be requesting or accepting, and seldom living up to the aggreements the tax breaks were to insure, because they can just "buy" a new law to get around the previous aggreemnet.![]()

CJ the only time I can remember my Dad saying something negative about my Mom was after he had been retired a few years she retired. One Sunday he leaned over and whispered "She is ruining my retirement."
I plan on exhausting my self doing as little as possible.

Signed the final change orders on our new house yesterday. Building can resume middle of next week. Should be closing towards the end of July. Will be so nice to get out of apartments and give my 3yo a yard to play in.

Well, it's been a fun day, got back from the hospital a few hours ago. Apearantly I went and got me a touch of pnuemonia (musta been bored).
Managed to go the last three years of my wifes career without catching any of the various crap she brings home from her students, but back on the 21st, a mere four days before her retirement, I got caught. Started with a sore throat, went to the sinuses, and then to the lungs. She got over hers after about 5 days, but it's been kickin' my butt since. This morning, my wife came into the livingroom, she thought I was sleeping on the couch because she heard me snoring, only problem was I was wide awake just gurgling and wheezing, so she made me go to the doctor.

Computer-Joe...sorry to hear that you're sick but look at it this way...now that your wife's retired or just about retired, she'll have a lot more time to spend with you and take care of you. Play it up!!
Glad she made you go to the doctor, anyway. Feel better!! ![]()

Wow, CJ, glad you caught it before it got worse! Stress and changes in life can compromise the immune system, so that probably was a factor for both of you.
Get well quick!

OU, congrats on the new house! You're going to LOVE the quiet and not having to fight for a parking space. The yard will be nice for your kid...get ready to build a playset, get a sandbox with a lid, an inflatable wading pool... ![]()
Assume you will have UV at your new place? Will you lose any perks?
