WHY ???

I was in Sam's club today. They have a display set up with computers right next to the cell phone display. I sign reads free WiFi provided by AT&T. That pretty nice since verizon provides nothing "free" . Amazingly there are verizon, sprint, and T-mo phones for sale but no AT&T. Why not ?

You can find AT&T in stores such as RadioShack, Best Buy etc.

The last I've seen, there were ATT phones for sale in my Sam's Club. That was awhile ago so maybe things have changed since.

Believe you're right DC and maybe AT&T phones are just displayed in certain stores?

Know this is a current link because as a test I hit "buy now", entered my zip code, and they wanted to sign me up right now. Keep in mind Sam's Club is all about buying in bulk so you'll need to buy a cart full.

Not sure but the cell phone sales may actually be a subcontractor for Sams club and they may not be authorized to cell ATT phones?

In the Costco that I go to, I see AT&T Wireless phones for sale next to T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint. I have also gone to a local Sams Club and I have seen them there.

Probably because those companies provide extensive deals and markdowns that AT&T choose not to. The decision to sell AT&T products is actually probably more walmarts choice since they may not want to sign the underwriters contract.

They sell them in Houston WM stores, and some pre-paid ones. But if I recall, they are stricter on upgrade terms. I don't do Sam's...

Super easy... a friend of mine works for the affiliates that sell phones in sams club, costco, etc... they pulled out of sams club due to contract dispute.

Wonder if that contract dispute between A&T and Sam's Club has been resolved? Maybe that's for in-store purchases only because I'm seeing AT&T cell phones selling online through Sam's Club and they list themselves as an AT&T retailer/dealer.

The local WM also sells AT&T phones and I'm seeing them through their online store too.

PS. real late on this reply but 1 cell phone is plenty enough for me too DC. LOL.
