I haven't seen it either, but I think that if you have been offended by an AT&T commercial, you should contact them to let them know. How else will they know that their commercial is upsetting people.

I've seen it , its about a dad who is 'old school' and still thinks to connect to the internet/dsl you must have an ethernet cable or phone cord, but when the family upgraded to 'wireless internet' or 'cordless' , he like the concept and wants his own 'internet with the invisible cord' (still thinking in the old school frame of mind).
i cant see the offense. someone help me.

RicoLX, is the skyfire browser used only on smartphones?

Opera mini cause my phone to always ask me that there might be data charges to go to the link i want. Mobile Web does not aks me that. i know that it is a setting issue, but I haven't found it yet.
Have you tried Bolt yet?

No, I have never tried Bolt. Here's the link...
Check it out...supposedly you can even copy and paste.
What version of Opera Mini are you using? Mine only asks when I first get on it..about data charges . I just click yes and that's it. I never see it again.

I'm using Opera Mini Version 4.2. Make sure it is a signed version. I think that makes a difference. Also there may be settings somewhere in your phone that you can change ...allow...always ask...etc...thats how my Shine was when I had it downloaded to that phone. Just had to change a simple setting to get it to stop asking me.

I'll check it out at work...If I get any free time. Thanks, I'll make sure it's 4.2

I deleted Opera Mini and re-downloaded Opera Mini 4.2 with the same results. Bolt is a little different and I haven't had anytime to figure it out yet.

I don't find it offensive .... it's just VERY annoying! I wish they would make a commercial that doesn't make anyone looks so stupid. I know people who aren't computer literate that aren't that stupid. PLEASE AT&T get rid of this commercial!

I can't tell you how sick I am of at&t's internet advertising on television! The ad makes the father look like a complete BOOB! I turn the channel everytime it comes on. Does anybody else feel the way I do?

Not really. Commericals are ridiculous in the first place, which is one reason why I don't watch tv.

Am also considering dropping at&t. Tired of bad coverage, being over charged, nickle and dimed to death, and their billing mistakes. Have been with them since 1996, never late on bill, but recently they've angered me enough that am thinking of divorcing at&t. Any one know the best wireless provider for SC.

The reason why this commercial is offensive is because it reinforces the stereotype that older people are not tech savvy. Now that may not be an issue to younger people, but when you're over 50 and out of work, age discrimination is a real problem. Human resources reject hiring older people because of the perception they cannot adapt to change and new technology. My point is proven by the post from the HR person who saw "no problem with the commercial".
Needless to say, I won't be a customer of AT&T anytime soon.
