HELLO!
I currently am a Comcast customer and we received a u-verse catalog today and i went on the website to see if its available here yes because i checked back in may and it wasnt. i was wondering why you think we'd get this sent here if its still not available. i want to cancel comcast, but i hate satelitte, my parents have it and it sucks. does anyone know when U-verse is going to be available in the chicagoland area? i love my ondemand programming if i didnt have this i dontknw what id do. also does anyone know if att provides wireless routers for laptops? i moved all our bedroom furniture so right now have our internet hooked up to our laptop not our desktop because the cord is too short to reach our desktop now that i moved everything. lol

U-Verse is available in the Chicagoland area, just not everywhere.
No real way to tell when it will be available in your neighborhood; you just need to keep checking.

Some of the surrounding towns are giving U-verse a hard time about equipment placement. In other places it just takes time to get the vrads placed everywhere they are needed. Even if everything goes perfectly there are placement decisions, ordering equipment, permits, site prep, placement of equipment, power to site, placing and splicing fiber, installing and provisioning elections, and updating databases. You are talking 6 months to 1 year from the time the decision to activate an area. Your area may already be a ways down this path.
Call sales if nothing else that shows up as a potential sale and may trigger a speed up of making your area green.
