This has happened about 3 times, but tonight
About 10:45pm on Sprout, I was unable to rewind or pause the show that my daughter was watching.
What Gives?
This has happend atleast 2 other times, once with Celebrity Apprentice, and something else we were watching I cant remember....

Unplug the ac cables from your dvr stb and non dvr stbs for 30 seconds. Then reconnect them. This will cause the software to be redownloaded into the stbs. It could be that some part of the software could have gotten corrupted.

This happens to me on very rare occasions too. Probably at least 95% of the time I have no issues pausing and rewinding live TV but every so often it won't work. For some reason the buffer doesn't fill up so there is no way to pause or rewind. If I change the channel and then change it back to the original channel, it will then work correctly and allow me to pause and rewind. It's frustrating when I miss something and can't go back but it just seems to be a rare fluky thing that happens occasionally. I know that's not much help but at least you know you aren't the only one with that problem.
And I don't think that unplugging and reconnecting your power cables will help remedy things since it just seems to be a random occurrence for me. I already unplug and reconnect my boxes every so often for other issues and I still occasionally have this problem.
