I have 4 HD units in my home. My younger daughter has her unit programmed to record her shows. My older daughter also has her unit programmed also. My husband watches in the living room and his shows have been getting interrupted by the younger daughter's recordings. When he selects, interrupt TV, it will interrupt my older daughter's unit while she is watching tv. This interruption goes back and forth as they each select interrupt. Spent about an hour on phone last night with tier one support who couldn't help me, and tier two who was relaying the problem to his supervisor via chat. Problem still NOT solved. Was told by install tech this wouldn't happen.. Thinking it is time to look for a new provider. Any ideas Community?

I don't think that you have a problem. It's just a matter of understanding what you can do depending on which video profiles that you have. What you can do depends on your video profiles.
Check your video profiles from your TV as follows: MENU > Options > System Options > System Resources
Profile the information shown for Streams and Egress Profile, and I will explain what those profiles allow you to do.

Also, you can record all four while watching a previous recording.
Some shows are repeated late at night - record then - watch during prime time.
You should all compile your calendars of recording/watching. Get together & resolve conflicts before you see it on the TV.
If this is too much for you to do, then spend the time checking out a service with a design that does not have these limitations.

Don't forget On Demand, it's selection has been increasing at a steady pace over the past 6 months and in all cases Fox, NBC and ABC have on demand. CBS is available in some areas.
