I had internet and phone and decided to try U-varse tv. The DVR will not record and play back HD shows, it will lock up at various points in play back (15min, 41 min, 1 hr and 14 etc). After install the nice support ends.. Fed-ex a new DVR to me 7/7/2012. Installed on 7/5/2012 and can not get support. Normal def records and plays fine. Planning on going back to Direct TV, get true 1080p and it will record and play back HD shows. If a TECH comes to my house it's 150 dollars and IT has not worked correct since install?
Nice Internet and phone but TV really does not hold up to my standards.

No problem here with the recording or play back of HD programs.
Can you download and install SomeJoe's tool at the link below?
http://www.uverserealtime.com/
Once you install the tool, please post screenshots of the following tabs: IP/Profile, Error Table, Bitloading, & Coax/HPNA.
We can take a look at the screenshots to see if there appears that you might be an issue with your system.

1080p is only available in Direct Cinema and only select titles. None of the regular programming is 1080p.
I've had UVerse since 2009 and had no issues recording HD. If there is an issue with your install then the truck roll fee should be waived. If it's something you caused, then yes their is a charge for support to come out, it's the same with Direct unless you sign up for the maintenance package which is either $5.99/mo for the basic (just DTV equipment) or $19.99 for the premier (all TVs and computers that can view DTV)

Drive by poster? He posted this on July 6th and hasn't been back. They shipped you something on July 7th but you wrote this on July 6th? BTW - Technical support never closes. If it's been broken since the install, they will not charge you a truck roll fee. Just keeping it real.
