Hi,
I've seen answers to some of these individual problems in other posts, I thought I would post all the issues I see and ask if these are just normal Uverse issues we have to put up with as my bill seems to creep up 50c or $1 each month without any service being added.
Been a uverse customer for about 5 years. We have an additional receiver. This DVR was a replacement about 3 years ago. I think its the cisco model I have plenty of space available for recordings, I rarely go over 60%. BTW the 'free space' indicator is about the most useful addition outside of the android app
1) Overnight from 22-23 March all programs erased, about 25 programs.
I saw one post suggest a hard reboot, I did not do this in time. Any other ideas? Was there a Uverse software upgrade?
Problem experienced for at least a year:
2) When deleting a program that is currently being recorded the message "cannot delete, recording is playing on another box" shows up (when it is only playing on the main DVR OR the 2nd receiver).
3) Series recordings: those set for 'new and re-run episodes' tend to skip over the new recording and record a 're-run' several hours or days later (pretty useless for live sports).
Problems experienced since all programs erased 3/22-3/23
4) program scheduled for recording 3/24 7.30am was not recorded.
5) A recording shown as being 2 hours and 2 minutes long will not play past 1 hour and 38 minutes.
6) A recording shown as being 2 hours and 3 minutes long will not play past 4 seconds!
Thanks for reading
GS

If your bill is going up on a monthly basis you might try calling CS and speak to a CSR about it. As for your dvr it could be in the early stages of failure. You can call TS about that. You can also send Alex a PM he is an ATT Community Manager on this forum for both issues.

My DVR just erased every show for the 2nd time in the last 7 days. It's starting to get really annoying. We just got our DVR in October, would it already be failing? If not, what do we do? If so, who do we contact? Does it need to be replaced? Or just reset or something?

Are all the recordings gone, or (if you check later) are they back?
Try pulling the plug at the back, wait 10 sec., plug back in, and wait for everything to come back up. Give it about 5 min. after that as it takes a little while longer for the Recordings list to repopulate.
If that doesn't work, then you can try requesting another DVR.
Try contacting Alex, one of the AT&T Community Managers for further assistance.

I experienced the same problem. I randomly get a a red "X", I reboot, and after resetting, unplugging and replugging the power cord back in, it starts to work again, but only after several attempts. That happened a couple of weeks ago (for the 8th or so time, literally, since I had the box for over 2 years now). 75% of the time I would lose my recordings. Now, after getting the red "X", 2-3 days later I got the COG and the progress bar did not move. I went through the steps again and every time I rebooted, the COG would come back and the process would be unsuccessful. I got frustrated with it, unplugged it for about 10 hours, plugged it back in and it magically worked, only all my recordings were gone and when I looked on the recording space left, I had only about 12 hours of HD recording space left. I had less than that with all my recordings. All I know is it is frustrating and most likely need to get a new box, preferrably NOT a motorola, since I have been having numerous problems with that brand. I also don't want to have to pay a lot for someone to come out and hook it up, which I am capable of doing. I read on other posts that they can send me the new box. So, do I need to get a new box?

Have you called Technical Support about your issues?
