DVR is not working. When I press the record button on the remote, receive this message "DVR system is starting. Please wait.". The Recording tab has disappeared from the menu. Please help.

Did it ever work?
Tech Support will tell you to first reboot the RG and the DVR, so you might as well do so and see if that makes any difference before calling tech support.

I'd do a hard reboot by unplug/plug in power after 30 seconds. This will fix many DVR problems, let us know if it worked, good luck.
