bs, they know the issue.
It can be replicated at a U-verse office if they choose to try.

Continuing to argue about this issue with other customers here on the forum is pointless and will not resolve the issue.
By the way, I do not have the issue here in Dallas. It is not a system wide issue.

I was making a dig at your comment. If you really believe in what you said,

saying your lucky to get anything to paying costumers is bad form.
If I pay for a $300 ticket and have to sit in a $100 seat, ya I'll make a fuss, and yes probably settle for it once,
but not if it becomes systemic.
if U-verse user could only record 1 show at a time, not 4,... for a month..
do you think they would settle for it?
If I only paid a portion of my U-verse bill, do you think AT&T would accept it?
hey at least they got something.. not..
Has there been any offical statement from U-verse regarding this problem?
p.s. all the U-verse people I have dealt with (very few) have been nice, including you,
and I truley beleive if you or one of the other people I've spoke too had the ability to flip this software switch
back to the way it was almost a month ago, they would.
The one thing you are well within your rights to do is drop UV and go to another service provider regardless of what I may say or anyone else. I think I will take the high road and not comment on your comments to me, because I am very happy with this service. And if there was something about it that I really didn't like as it appears to be with many people, I would drop the service in a minute. If you decide to stay with UV ATT will no doubt correct this issue. And if you don't, I hope your next service provider can give you the level of service your money can buy.
By the way, I didn't know ATT had kool-aid, I guess I missed that party.

Troll? You have 14 total posts on this forum. Who is the troll? You are too funny. I have seen people like you come and go on this forum over the past year and a half.
Most customers come to this forum to seek help from other customer in solving their issues. While others come to this forum to complain and to keep you know what stirred up.
Has posting the type of messages that you have been posting on the forum solved your issue?

I am not complaining but I earlier posted that I have this problem but don't have time to go through cs, can I assume that when they do a fix for the area I am in I will get it or is the fix residence specific?

no, I've been venting/ feeding the trolls I suppose.
I am under the delusion that U-verse may read this board and care.
True, If I had a solution I would share it and be gone.
I don't post "or else I'm leaving uverse" or " if you don't like it you can always leave" or "some people just like to complain" or wander into a thread I don't have anything to contribute.
but if I have the time, I will call out u know what when I see it.
nothing personal guys, lets have a beer and watch a game, time-shifted or not, it doesn't matter..
my last post , unless I have a real solution , honest..

No, the fix will be national when they get it fixed.
If you'd like to help them get it fixed, please follow the directions in the linked post so that David has your information.

No it doesn't make me "Fell" good at all. But I feel great about posting in the forum. If it is ruining your day, well there is nothing I can do about that.
By the way, what does it mean to "Fell Good"?

I was hoping this would have been resolved by now but I digress. I have gotten more responses this week and end of last week to where I can put a nice report on paper and send it. I had 12 total which is a good size to start with on the report. I knew with just 3 or 5, it would get treated as 3 or 5. With 12 the strategy changes, and while my methods are not the most customer friendly, they are the most effective. That's what I aim for!
I did get a confirmation it still is a known issue. I am trying to press and see if they have any ideas or maybe someone can make a dent in the problem. I also heard a rumor it may become this way due to agreements. However like rumors, I don't credit them to much. I would rather have hard proof than rumor. If I believed rumors that I heard, my job should have ended in 2001. So much for rumors huh! ![]()
I did pour through all I had and did confirm one thing. So far it's only in CA. I have had none from any other regions among the 12 that I had that reported. So if it is going on in other states and/or regions it's not showing up.

I had to do quite a lot of searching online and took the time to do so to find this board...I personally had never participated in online discussions before this. If there are only 12 complaints, I would guess that most have just gone through customer service and are not quite as annoyed as those here. As for the carping back and forth, I suggest we work together to solve this issue and avoid getting personal and angry especially over typos. (I checked my spelling carefully.) BTW...who is the guy sitting in front of the monitors...he seems very upset. Does he work for ATT?

I called U-verse tech support on this issue two weeks ago, and now after two weeks of waiting for AT&T to fix this I have solved the problem myself. Cancelled U-verse TV and went back to DirecTV. No issues with FF on recorded Giants games, superior quality overall, whole home DVR works great. Less expensive, too. Good Riddance to U-verse TV!

If you do I have some----------- for sale
If only a few are having the problem it can be fixed for all
How can we the users get this out on the internet ?? Any ideas will be appreciated
I will not be referring any friends

This forum web site is run by Lithium, a 3rd-party company whose business is running threaded discussion forums for other companies. The moderators here are Lithium employees, they do not work for AT&T. The entire purpose of that arrangement is twofold:
1. It removes the very conflict of interest you are talking about. Because the moderators are not AT&T employees, they are able to be objective to the posts and threads here and simply apply the forum rules.
2. AT&T is a telephone company, not a forum expert. Running the forum is left to a company who has the resources, people, and experience to properly run a threaded discussion forum.

Good point, sst. If I was a potential new customer and got wind of this I would close the book on AT&T in a heartbeat.
I called yesterday to check on the ticket that I generated 16 days ago. The gentleman's quote: "We are aware of the problem and hope to have it fixed within a week. That doesn't mean it will be fixed within a week, but we are working on it."
I am trying to be patient, but I sorely miss watching the Giants games.

It really isn't personal, RCSMG (at least with me). You made the point that it is better than not being able to watch it at all. It's just that with the current problem, with some of us and our schedules, not being able to use the features on the DVR is tantamount to not being able to watch it at all. I can't watch it live and I don't have three hours to watch the whole game, so I unfortunately do not watch it at all. And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone, judging the numerous posts within this thread.

I have sent my information much earlier that I also have the problem on FoxSports south on Marlin's (1720) and Ray's (1722) games. If the games are nationally broadcast they work perfectly.I changed from Direct a few months ago - perhaps a mistake.

Here's another thing to add:
I noticed on another U-Verse related forum (don't know if it's allowed to post the URL from another forum or not, so I won't for now) that the same issue occured for some U-verse consumers from 2/08 - 4/09 for Fox HD with prime time shows, including American Idol. So AT&T must know about past similar issues, and, I'm assuming that the issue was fixed, since there's no more posts in that thread since 4/09.
There is speculation in that thread that the issue is "broadcast flag" or "DRM" related (similar to what I speculated above).

Just wanted to contribute since I'm having the issue too. I'm hoping the more of us that report this the higher priority it will get. I just emailed my info to David as requested.
I'm in the Chicago market (Wheeling, IL) and can not fast forward Cubs games on Comcast Sportsnet HD (channel 1741). Since the season is almost over and the Cubs are out of the playoff race this isn't a deal-breaker for me right now. BUT, if the issue is still not fixed by the start of next season, I will be canceling my Uverse subscription and going back to Comcast, or consider getting a dish.
I've been extremely pleased with Uverse for the past year and a half that I've had it, but 75% of what I watch (and record!) are Cubs games, and not being able to fast forward is unacceptable to me.

Have you ever resolved this issue? It seems FSN has conspired to make us watch their commercials! I can't fast forward any Angels game recorded on FSN. I tried the ffwd on a Dodger game too just to see if did the same thing. It does! Has anyone tried disaster recovery/software dump to fix this. My dad lives in another county and uses Uverse as well. He gets the same thing. Again, this only on FSN (Fox Sports Net) during games as far as I can tell. HELP!
