DVR won't fast forward a recorded show

The issue of not being able to fast forward a recording on the DVR occurred today on the Sunday afternoon baseball game on TBS HD channel 1112.  Some in this thread have speculated that the issue of not being able to fast forward a recorded baseball game relates to an issue with Comcast.  It is not a Comcast issue.

Maybe the fix is being rolled slowly in different regions.  Hopefully this one will proceed pretty fast, once ATT is satisifed with it's results.

Got an update...

They identified the problem service in particular in regards and such, it's a server bug. They are working on the patch as of this message.

Ok got some more news... 

The patch got rolled out Monday night and it was a confirmed Microsoft bug. My contact stated that his is now corrected. They are now checking other areas and such. I did mention IL but they didn't think it was everywhere and was pretty certain it was in CA only. 

since I do have one IL complaint, I am not sure if that IL person can chime in or not. If that person's did clear up only logical conclusion (that would make sense) is he is viewing a channel that is out in CA and finding the problem. That would be the only logical conclusion (or as least one that makes sense up front based on reporting) I could conclude.

I am in FL.  I had the problem with everyone else and now it is fixed.  That's all I care about, but it wasn't as isolated as they are claiming.

I saw people report this problem on the forum in CA, FL and IL on some of the regional sports networks.  I also saw the problem myself this past weekend end on the national channel TBS HD.

I guess in the game of football it don't really matter how you got six points as long as you did it legally and without penalty details really don't matter much after you score the 6.

Not for me.  Trying to watch a recorded game on 1691 ALT1HD and I cannot FF.

This just started happening to me.  I'm in South Bend, IN trying to watch a recording of the MSU game on the Big Ten network, and the HD feed won't let me fast forward or rewind.  The SD version, however, works fine.

Same problem for me today with the CMU vs Northwestern game recorded on Big10 alternate HD channel 1693.

Same problem with yesterday's MSU vs. NCU game on Big Ten Alt2HD - 1692.

This is a terrible problem.  I had watched the first half live but needed to go out.  When I returned to watch the second half, I couldn't fast forward - so I would have had to play through 2 hours of the recorded first half & halftime to see the end of the game.   Now I'll probably never see the end of the game. 

If this is some kind of attempt to force us to watch the commercials then they should just disable the skip button, or perhaps the lower speed fast forward but there has got to be a way to watch the end of something when you've already seen the first half.

I notice the fix too today. When the SJ Quakes were down 2-0 against Chicago and I was able to fast forward to the end game that I Recorded last night.

I'm experiencing this issue right now with the Sharks game on channel 1771.  Is this thread closed, has anyone else seen this lately?

Have you tried a hard reboot of your DVR by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in?
