I am a long time UVerse customer and very familiar with the hardware and software.
I have had a Series Recording for the SF Bay Area KTVU Ten O'Clock News for over a year (10pm, channel 1002). Recently, it stopped recording and the Series Recording entry reports that there were 0 scheduled recordings. Of course, the program runs every night at the same time and there is always an entry for the program is in the Guide.
I have deleted the series and re-added the series (and restarted the DVR several times and powered down/up the RG too). It works fine for a week or two, but then stops recording again.
I believe that the entry for the KTVU Ten O'Clock News is changing in the background and is not updating my Series Recording. I have noticed that the description for the program changes occassionally.
Does anyone have insight into what is causing this problem?

I have had this issue before, and the only thing I could do was keep setting up the series recording until it works. I have had two or three series recording set up for one program. But I was successful in getting the series recording to work.

i wonder if this is the similiar problem with my NHL playoff games, where if they change the description last minute, you are hosed.
seems silly to me that you can't have to record by date/time regardless of the programming.
