We have been getting a lot of lost signal on one tv (sometimes all 3 but mostly the one tv) - the tv with the DVR - this morning, freezing, then no signal - other 2 tv's work fine, Did a reboot of the receiver and it has been on the ATT Uverse logo with the spinning circle in the right had corner for over 30 min now. Now it says CLIENT INITIALIZATION ERROR. The online tool is a waste of time. the RG local ethernet light flashes Is the DVR now broken? If so, what now. Do the stores carry them like Time Warner carries boxes in their stores? I hate to call customer service because it has gone down hill. I think I need a Tech to come to the house and check this out. It maybe something besides the box, pretty sure it isn't the RG since everthing else works fine.
Help please!! ![]()

I guess I am replying to my own post.
I figured it out myself! . I have the AT&T Troubleshooter and it says to reboot the dvr - hold for 5 seconds and then you have to push the button again to turn it on. I had never done a reboot this way but ok, I will try that. I believe that is what caused the problem.
I have been at work all day and when I came home I got the Uverse spin again so I decided to do it my way - Hold the button down on the drv for around 5 or 7 seconds until the lights goes out and do not touch it again. It booted just fine and tv is running - took about 10 min at most.
I am sure it will happen again.
Can you please bring customer service back to the US?:![]()

If it happens again, unplug the ac cable for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. This will cause the software to be redownloaded into the dvr. It could be that part of the software got corrupted. If you still have the problem send Jamileh a PM she is an ATT Community Manager on the forum.

I was promised better signal quality than DirecTV, but in 3 months, I've already had more signals lost than in 2+ years with DirecTV. I'm starting to regret the switch to UVerse.

I find that I get this problem on a regular basis (about once per month) but just rebooting the DVR does not fix it completely. I have to reboot the residential gateway by unplugging for a couple of minutes. This solves the problem but it will return again in about 30 days.
