Hello...back again...I had my sound drop off issue with 5.1 Surround fixed last December with your help and the upgrade to the Cisco ISB7500 DVR...worked like a charm until the last storm here in ChicagoLand...
Tech came out to my home and said that the original installer didn't install a proper ground and everything needed to be changed out...great...no black box ISB7500 unit to replace mine so they used the silver boxed Cisco IPN4320...I told the tech about my sound drop off problems with the earlier silver box and was assured that problem has been fixed...
20 minutes after the tech left...no sound in 5.1 Surround...after spending all weekend on the phone with various specialists, tier 2 employees and bosses...I was told the problem would be fixed...it wasn't...yesterday, I called and got a tier 2 helper and said, is all it will take to make you happy is to get you the Cisco ISB7500...I said all I want is for my U-verse to work and YES that will do it..."I'll send it out overnight."
It arrived...lovely silver boxed IPN4320...another call...this time to cancel...

I talked with a nice man in cancellations...he asked me why I was leaving after 4 years and I told him...he said if I can get you that ISB7500 will that make you happy...I told him I had heard it before but you're welcome to try...a reconnection to another specialist who also sounded very nice...now they want to send a tech out to the house...wonderful...another night I can stay at home...
I'll report back however this turns out tomorrow night...fingers crossed...
oh and the newest IPN4320 they sent today???...I was asked to set it up and let it boot up...worked great...until it didn't...sound drop off in 5.1 surroud...of course it works just fine in stereo...

nope...I've used both an Outlaw Audio 1050 and a Panasonic XR series digital...
the tech just left after installing the ISB7500 that a previous tech didn't have on the truck and apparently, couldn't be sent to me since they sent another IPN4320 that almost immedietly lost the 5.1 surround...
...it isn't my equipment or my connections as I have tried them all, used both a Panasonic and a Sony TV and 2 separate receivers...

...by the way...imagine my happiness with AT&T when the tech started pulling wires to put in my new Wi-Fi...I asked him why he was adding more equipment and he said the service tag is for new Wi-Fi...well...I guess that's CLOSE to a new DVR...![]()

...sweet...add to that the installer that came out wrote up a ticket (that was emailed to me) that charged me $99 and then he wrote on the ticket that I refused to sign...never a word about signing anything and I'm not paying because they didn't have the right DVR on the truck last time...
...a call to customer service said they will reverse the charge and will scold the installer (I don't want the guy in trouble but what's the deal with saying I refused anything???)...I have to wait some time for it to cycle to my bill before they can remove it...
insult to injury...what a nightmare it has been working with AT&T customer service, techs, managers, team members, specialists, etc. ad nauseum...
