Uverse DVR will not record.

I just signed up for U-Verse DVR. I have been trying to record shows and they aren't recording. It says recording at the top of the TV and there is the red dot/s in the guide but then nothing happens. I don't understand what the problem is. When we ordered the service we told them we wanted DVR. What am I doing wrong? Any advice?

What do you see if you press recorded TV? What package did you get, u100, u200, u300, u450 or the family package? ![]()

When you got the dvr did the tech reboot the rg? I would also like to know which package you have?

I am having the same problem. I have the U200 latino package. When i press record, the red dot on the guide shows up, and it says its recording, but its not. Also, the little red light on the reciever does not show up. This started a week ago, it used to record everything just fine, but now it wont for some reason. When i click on scheduled recordings, it says it has the shows sheduled to record, but they neevr record. Can someone help me pelase?

Unplug each of your U-verse receivers for 30 seconds and then plug them back in. See if this resolves the issue.

is the tech supposed to reboot the RG when a dvr is replaced? I find it interestng that when there are u-verse problems you can never find out why a problem happened. You get 2 standard answers to problems with U-verse, replace dvr or unplug or reboot dvr. It is incredible that there never seems to be issues in the head end, with the I-nid or nid depending on how the service is provisioned or somewhere in a card plugged into some apparatus. If it is truly the DVR they should consider dumping their current equipment and switching vendors. I have had 4 diff receivers now and still have intermittent problems.
