I apologize advance if this is the wrong place to post this. It's been about 3 days since my phone didn't work and I guessed it died and got a new one. The problem was not my phone but phone line so I called At&t customer support and the person on the line tried to help me but atlas's it didn't work either so he told me that he was going to send a technician to my house to see the problem as it seems like he was 1st trying me to push in that direction. So today the technician came and did the exact thing the person on the phone told me and it didn't work as well so he then did couple of test and nothing came up then after that he took a phone line I had brought recently to see if the plug was dead and plug it into a couple of plugs moving back and forth and he finally got it to work. I was glad he got the phone working again but then disappointed when he told me that he was going have to charge me a $55 fee for going to my house. I was not happy with this news and the fact that made it worse was the person on the phone did not told me a single thing about this fee as I been using at&t as my home phone service more then about 7 years now ,and that he was pushing me to send a technician to my house knowing it would cost me. It makes no sense what benefit it would come to not telling me the fee of sending a technician to my house or that there was even one at all. So I am getting charged for $55 for the technician to use my item I brought to fix the phone which if given time I would have guess the right plug and did it my self. A $20 or $25 fee would sound more reasonable since he barley did any work and it would have been more then enough to pay for the gas to get here as knowing he is driving around to other houses as well in my area as I saw him park just around the corner working on another house as well. Does amyone have any idea how can I solve this problem at all or atleast sort it out.

Call Customer Support and request the the charge be credited back to your account. It should not be an issue.
