When I subscribed to ATT in July 2011 I was told I would be getting a $100 rebate coupon.
Everytime I had called to get status on the rebate coupon they were closed (it was usually weekends I could take time out).
Today when I finally got a chance to check on the status of this rebate I was told they have sent me an email with the details on how to redeem this coupon and that I did not take any action and that it is now expired!!!!? I have checked and double checked my inbox but I do not see any emails from ATT Uverse that talk about the rebate. This rebate was the main reason I had agreed to sign up for this service. I feel cheated.
I am really upset at this and would like to take this up with BBB or any other legal channel. If any one else has been in the same situation please share if you were able to get this issue resolved?
thanks!

It's not a rebate coupon, it's a gift card. You need to redeem all rewards at the Reward Center website. Rewards should appear on that website within 30 days after your install date. You do have certain period of time to redeem rewards before they expire. I received a letter in the mail after my install directing me to that website.
Send a PM to Alex who is an AT&T Community Manager on this forum.

Texasguy,
The service rep who came to my house to offer me the rebates etc called it a closer coupon. Thanks for correcting the terminology though.
When I am given the coupon or gift card I expect it to be available until I use it. Putting a time limit can easily lead to cases where customers just forget to redeem it or are unable to since they do not know how. I was in the latter category where I was totally unaware of how to redeem this.
Thanks for the contact info. I will get in touch with Alex to see if he can help me.
thanks,

It's not a scam. I received a notice in the mail about 30 days after getting U-Verse. I followed the instructions and received two cards worth $150. In December I upgraded from U200 to U300 and shortly after received another notice in the mail and 2 weeks later received another card worth $100. You just need to follow instructions.

Call the retention department and talk to a csr about your rewards.

Welcome snrmon and thank you for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the expired rebate. I received your Private Message and replied with the information needed since this is account specific. Please check your Private Message inbox (blue envelope, top-right) for an update. We'll get you in touch with the group that can look into it.
Regards,
Alex

Thanks @ATTAlexCM!
I was not sure ATT would take care of me from the response I received from the rewards department. But after Alex got involved, I was impressed by the response from him and his department.
Keep up the good work!
thanks,
