False promotions , moving problems and reward card lies!!

I have been an ATT wireless customer since 2009 and recently decided to make the move to ATT for my cable and internet which Im learning may have been a huge mistake. I signed up with what seemed like a fantastic promotion for 1 year back in Jan of this year and now suddenly in Aug my discounts have been removed without explaination. Everytime I call customer service, mind you this has been at least 6 times in the last month, the representatives are clearly trained to tell me whatever it is they think I want to hear without any actual resolve for my questions or problems. When I moved to a new address on July 2, I was told I was eligible for a $150 reward card, so I happily called to redeem that offer. I was told on 2 separate occassions that the card was in the mail and to give it about 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. It is now going into the 8th week having not recieved the card and upon making several more phone calls this afternoon between customer service and the rewards center, I had finally had enough of this constant miscommunication and spoke with a supervisor who told me I was eligible for only a $100 reward card. What happened to the other $50?? And why after 7 months of Uverse and Internet am i paying over $150 a month for service when there are seemingly "deals" all over the internet for $59 a month? I am so tired of the overpaying and the empty promises made by ATT and I can't wait for my contract term to expire so I can move back to a company with far better promotions and clearer explainations. FED UP!

You mentioned that you moved in July, that may be the reason why the promotions were removed from your account. Send a PM to Alex who is an AT&T Community Manager on this forum.
Also, check the settings on your account to make sure that you will receive email notification when a PM is received on this forum.

I am having the same problem! I saw the promotion on tv about how if you move and take uverse with you, you will get a reward card. This was in August and I called them immediately to have the service switched to my new address starting Oct. 1. I called back in November and they told me I was not eligible for the reward! I call back in December and talked to someone else and they told me yes, I do get a reward for $150 confirming that I called during the promotion back in August. Well here we are in January 2013 and I called again to see if they mailed my reward card and the rep named Pamela told me that there was no moving reward offered so she does not know where I got that information! I was astonished that she said they had no moving reward. I can't believe this company. I hope the managers read these posts so they can re-check themselves and the service they claim to offer! I had been raving to all my friends and co-workers about how great Uverse is and even have had 2 people sign up for the service...well, now that this has happened, I will tell people Not to choose Uverse because they have false prmotions and the customer service people act like you do not know what you are talking about! I will be cancelling my service.

Eleni, click on the hyperlink in my sig to contact Customer Care. They are an escalation team different from Customer Service. Send them a PM and give them your information. They will be in touch with you via PM as well so watch for the blinking blue envelope next to the Sign Out button for message notification.
