Anyone else suckered into upgrading to U300 OR U450 for a $50 giftcard, and never hear anything about it after making the change? When I check the rewards status, there is nothing in any of the categories. I'm really tired of ATT promising me something and not delivering. It sounded so good when I signed up for it, but now it's like the rates are too high, there are no real rewards, and customer service is a hassle to get ahold of if you need them outside of their hours of operation.

You need to call the Reward Center about any missing rebates. I upgraded from U300 to U450 last year, and I did not receive my $50 gift card. I called the Reward Center, and the gift card was then processed and sent to me.

useyoureyes,
I just posted this on another thread and Ironically it fit you also.
I believe that the sales reps on the initial calls, will promise multiple things to get people to upgrade their service. I have a similar issue. I moved my service from my previous unit to a new unit in my complex. The initial sales rep stated that I would recieve $150 reward card for continuing to use AT&T and transfering my service over to the new unit. She then began talking about upgrading my service to more channels and receiving a discount on the monthly increase and it would be close to what I am currently paying and at any time I could change back to my previous plan. She also stated to upgrade my internet speed and I would also receive a discount on that service. So basically she upsold me on all my services, minus of course my mobile service, with the hopes that after the discount periods are over, I will have enjoyed the additional channels and will keep the service at the higher rate. Well, needless to say, I have not received the $150 reward card and it has been well over 6 weeks. So, after finally getting to the rewards department, I was told that there are no notes in the file that the reward card was going to be issued.
Basicallly, I just wanted to let you know that you are definitely not the only one that is told one thing and then the reality is something different. If I didn't enjoy my internet and have a son who enjoys having the additional channels, I would cancel my Uverse today. $150 is not that much of an issue, but when you are told one thing and basically, the good old used car salesman pitch is the reality, then what other things are going to be incorrect.

I was also expecting a reward for moving my service. But when the technician showed up he was confused that we already had equipment (which we were told to bring with us). His paperwork stated we were a new install not a move. In the end we got hooked up and got to keep our DVR (thankfully). But now we never received our reward and for some reason we also lost the monthly discount we signed up under and are being charged $10 more per month. I can accept the $10 a month thing but why are we losing out on the rebate if they screwed up? I do feel they scam you out of rewards any way they can.

Did you redeem your rebate at the Reward Center online?

I keep checking but there are no rebates available, not even listed under expired or disqualified.

If the rebates are not listed and it has been more than 30 days since your install, call the Reward Center. If you are entitled to the rebates, they will get this resolved for you.
