I like u-verse but.......

I like the u-verse service but I cannot pay the additional costs after the one year "introductory period" is up.  so I will either switch back to the at&t with the phone and internet or must go with another carrier.  I do not like operating this way but I actually need a cost that will stay consistent.  Over the past five years, I've changed carriers because the iital billing rose over 25% after one year.  This is especially disheartening when the new introductory prices are lower that what I'm currently paying.  Please let me know when my year is up so that I make the switch back.  Also need to know if the NFL Sunday Ticket package is going to remain exclusive to DirecTV.

You can call CS and ask them to extend the promotion that you are on or if there is another promo you can get.  ATT doesn't want to lose subs and they are willing to accomodate requests like that.  If you do get an uncooperative CSR politely end the call and call back.  There are CSRs who are ready willing and able to get you another promotional rate.

Let me know how that advise went for you....I waited over 20 minutes to get a rep to tell me that they couldnt extend my promotional rate. Paying $150 for HD U200 and Internet now.. Too expensive so I am going to shop around this weekend.

You will continue to change providers if that's the way. All providers will offer an introductory period of some sort. The nice thing about UVerse is that there is no contract whereas most will require you to sign a two year deal and will stick it to you on your second year.

If you call and get a CSR who doesn't want to extend your promotion, end the call and call back.  You can ask if there is another promotion  available.  Let them know that you like the service that you have and that you would like to stay with ATT.  They can offer you anoter promo, because many people have done that who don't have the finances to pay higher prices for Uverse services.  ATT does not want to lose customers and they can and will help ttheir subs.  If you like send Alex a PM he is an ATT Community Manager on the forum.  He can get you to the proper dept/person to get you some asstance.
