Live Free for a Year with AT&T Contest

I've tried to enter the contest, but when I submitted my info, it sent me to a page that said

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

Not sure what is going on.  Any one else having this issue?

Hi Ebony, 

I tested the links when they were posted and just now on two different computers and my iPad (with different browsers too). I'm not getting any errors and the site loads fine. 

Have you tried clearing your cache or are you in a location (like work or school) that might be blocking the page?

I just checked, and it's working here (using Firefox).

I have tried on different computers with all 3 browsers. I have cleared out EVERYTHING from my cache and it is still giving me the same error she received. I called AT&T and all they said was there are other users having the same problems and suggested the clearing of the cache as well - I spent like 40 minutes on the phone with the Tech and his manager looking into it and they couldn't offer me any other options! Does anyone have ANY suggestions other than clearing the cache because that didn't work!

I am having exactly the same problem. I tried this on 2 different computers (one mac and one PC) and 3 different browsers. 

I had tried to sign up for this "contest" last year also and it did not work then either!

I think it is UNFAIR that AT&T has this contest that some people can not participate in. Everyone should be able to participate. We are all paying for this contest with our at&t bills, why are we not allowed to register for it?

Also how can it take AT&T a whole year to fix this problem?

I called AT&T technical support about this and they said that they do not know how to help me!

Also I just tried this again on a BRAND NEW mac with a NEW installation of firefox. (firefox was never instaleld on this computer before as it is brand new) and IT DID NOT WORK! I am still getting the same "bad request" error.

This is yet another proof that this is an AT&T issue and not something about a browser or cache.  

AT&T has to fix this now and it would still not make up for the fact that for the past year some of us have not been able to participate in this.

Is the contest still going from last year or is this a new one?  I don't remember having any success with it either.

Is it not crazy that a big company like AT&T is messing up so bad on this? How can you have contest where people (or a lot of people) are not permitted to sign up?

at the bottom of the page they say that this contest "Ends on 9/30/12 at 11:59PM".

Don't see how anyone could live AT&T bill free for a year with this contest.  Maximum payout for the contest is $300.00!!  That wouldn't even cover 1 month of Uverse, Land Line, and Cell.

EDIT: Nevermind I just rechecked and it's up to $300 per month for a 12 month period.

EDIT 2: I tried to register for the contest and when I hit submit it took me to a browser page that said unable to connect.  So it's broke.

I had the same issue but got it to work. I tried just clearing out my cache, but that did not work. Then I cleared the cache again, and navigated directly to live.att.com instead of logging into my account first and clicking through from there. Then it worked. I logged into my AT&T account again right after, and tried to submit another form, but got that same error message again. I don't know if avoiding logging into your account will work for you, but it did for me. Good luck.

Thanks for posting that info.  I was able to enter the contest also.  I did not login to my account when I tried it, and I was able to enter my information.  Who knew!

I have tried to enter several times on 3 different machines using IE, Firefox and Google Chrome and 2 smartphones...all of them give the same response...Bad Request.  The image in the fraud box never shows up.

Finally got it work on my tablet...I hope...now it says down for maintenance...I'll try again on the tablet tomorrow,

I have also had problems entering the contest for a few weeks now, using both firefox and internet explorer.

Tried again today on internet explorer and had success to enter the contest.

Even received a confirmation email that I had actually entered.

I had the exact same problem. Tried from 2 different sources, 2 different browsers. I did like someone suggested. I logged out of at&t. I went to live.att.com and I was able to enter it that way! Thanks to whomever suggested that!

The trick is to go into it without being logged in first.

Everyone in my family is getting the same error message from different computers. We all just decided that AT&T is being sneaky again like when they gave their customers "unlimited" data but would throttle your speeds. Letting all their customers think someone is getting their bills paid but everyone is actually getting the same error message and they're hoping you just give up.......so in actuality, nobody is getting their bills paid.
