I haven't had much luck with finding a way to cancel my old bill for DSL now that I have the U-verse package which includes Internet. I've called AT&T, my credit card, and my credit union. No one seems to be able to find who is sending me the bill for DSL or what the account number is. I do not get a paper bill, I just have a single entry on my MasterCard for "ATT Interent Services {edited per guidelines} TX". I've called that number but it's always busy. I'm beginning to think that might not be a good phone number. I had dial-up for a while, then sent to DSL. SBC was my provider then AT&T took it over.
Is that a good number to get to the bottom of this? Is there any other contact that I should try to figure out which part of AT&T is billing my credit card?
I need to put a stop to the auto bill. One suggestion is to cancel my credit card and get a new account issued. I'd rather not do that just yet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks...Kurt

After some phone tag, I finally was able to talk to AT&T west coast. She seems to understand the issue and will elevate the issue. It's clear that my DSL ended mid-month and then U-verse started so I'm owed money for the partial month. But because of the delays in working the issue, I had to send in a check to my credit card for another month of DSL in order to not be late on my credit card statement. It looks like that hasn't shown up yet in AT&T's account but she was made aware of that as well. I'm supposed to hear back with resolution in a few days, so we'll see if they can take care of the partial month and the full month that I over paid.
Crossing my fingers!!
Kurt
