I like my U-verse service, but I HATE the pricing. It seems to be the same with all companies though; they hook you with a great price on bundle service and after a length of time, the price goes up. Additionally we lose channels from time to time. They (ATT) tells us it is due to contract stuff with the channel, but is it really?
I want to email the company, but I am unable to find an address that I can send it to. Do they not want to hear from loyal, long time customers? I have been with AT&T for almost 7 years.
I have a proposal for AT&T: how about rewarding long time customers with discounts? I tried to see about getting a discount on my current service. One person told me to call back at the beginning of July because they were going to have a lot of deals then. I called and basically got told that I am getting all the discounts available to me right now. How is that possible when my bill has gone up $30 in the last few months?!
AT&T Keep your customers happy, offer us lower prices like the ones you offer to new customers. You will benefit from satisfied customers staying with you.

I just needed to add to my comments from above...I left out the fact that the internet speed I am paying for really sucks. $43 for up to 6 Mbps?! Charter charges $30 for up to 30 Mbps. I have 2 desktops, 1 laptop, an Xbox and various other wireless devices that connect. That is one of my main reasons for considering switching to Charter.

That rate with Charter is a promotional rate not the regular rate after the promotional period ends. The rate you mentioned for U-verse 6 Mbps is the regular rate not a promotional rate. You are comparing a regular rate with with U-verse to a promotional rate with Charter.

Yes, all of the major providers, including Charter, offer promotional rates to attract (i.e. hook) new customers. Once the promotional period ends, the regular rates kick in. I know some people who switch providers every 6 - 12 month chasing new customer promotional rates.

Cannot agree. They would make no money if they did what you want. Do you have other options besides ATT.

Is that what the other major providers do (i.e. have the same pricing for new and existing customers)? If that is true, all of those providers have prices that are always the same for all customers. There are never any promotional discounts.
When we were new customers, we received promotional pricing which expired at the end of the promotional period and the regular prices kicked in. The current new customers will receive promotional pricing which will expire at the end of the promotional period and the regular prices will then kick end. New customers will receive the same benefits and be treated the same way that we have been.

I see. The way you responded was not clear. You might what to use the "Quote" feature when including the comments of a previous poster in your response.

Thank you I did not see the quote feature. I will now use it.
