Promotional rate ended

Im on uverse 200 with internet and my promo rate ended last month. I would like to stay at the current rate for at least another year but the c/s person would not reup my promo for another year. She offered me to go to 300 and higher speed Internet for 6 months, but once that promo rate ends, I'll be in worse shape than I am today. Is there anything I can do just to keep my current rate? I don't want to play games but I can't afford the increase. Thx.

I might give it at least one more shot. Or maybe try to talk to the cancellations department, they may have the power to say "we'll do this if you stay". Sometimes the results you get depends on the person you get

Thanks I will try that, but when I talked to her and told her I was going to have to research other service she said ok and would not offer anything else. Frustrates me because I would think in this economy they would want to keep a good paying customer. Ialready have AT&T phone svc and spend almost $200 on that a month!

I always suggest calling back until you get a cooperative CSR who is willing to grant your requests.  I have done it many times.

All she said she would do is $5 off per month. There are currently no promotions for current customers. Disappoints me. Any suggestions on what to ask for?

There is a promotion for HBBO and Cinemax free for three months.  i just got it today.

why dont you go to u300 then when the promo ends drop it to u200 again... It would be easier not to buy off of promos because they're not guaranteed..., if you can't afford it then lower the plan all together
