AT&T uVerse has scammed us out of $100.00. We were supposed to get a $400.00 reward card, a $100.00 card for affinity and $50 for signing up on line. Now after the wrong one were issued and the reward card supervisor lied about fixing it on 5/9. I am being told we do not have all the services and no longer qualify.
We originally signed up and had U450, Internet Max Turbo, uVerse voice 250, and Family Talk 700. We maintained all these services from 3/19 to 5/17 and if we would of known what we were told on the 9th was a lie. We could of maintained the services until the reward was processed.
I intend to file a complaint with the State of Michigan Consumer Protection to alert them of all the misinformation AT&T puts out.

You do need to maintain all qualified services until your rewards are received. If you do not have the services at the time the reward card is to be issued, you do not qualify. I would also recommend that qualified services be maintained until all rewards have been used because I have seen some report that any unused rewards were canceled if services were terminated prior to all rewards being used.
You might try sending a PM to Alex who is an AT&T Community Manager on this forum.

I simply had an issue with my DSL. Spoke with Mike through the chat box. He proceeded to try to sell me on the new Uverse Internet. Said it was much faster and the same price monthly....plus he would give me a $75 Visa Reward card for joining. I hesitated a few times, so he said that he would double my reward to $150 if I signed up with him immediately. I said.....so you will give me $150 reward for signing now???? He said yes..Positively. Of course I didn't want to turn down that much money for a service that was supposed to be better than my fast DSL.
I agreed. When my reward arrived it was for $75. I called and complained to customer service several times that I had been lied to by somes sales guy named Mike just to make a sale. They responded that a supervisor would get it touch with me. Thats been weeks ago and not one word.
I've been in sales for 40 yrs myself and would never expect a company as large as ATT to scam anyone. I am disgusted and disappointed to say the least.
It's not about the 75 bucks, just a matter of principle and I hate being lied to.
ATT, please send my 75 reward card immediately and I will drop this forever....and still keep the service, which I am happy with. A company of your statis should be ashamed of the tactics your emplyee took with me. Discharge him and send my reward. Otherwise, I can't promise anything.

I am on att wireless currently. A couple years ago I had a bundled package. I went for the bundle because they offerd 2 $100 cards. When it came time to claim them I was told I do not qualify, although nothing had changed at all from the original agreement. I am too busy to take action. Instead I just distrusted att more and more. Today my mother called about switching to Uverse service from our local cable service. She was told she would recieve $400 in reward cards.... ha ha ha... That will be the day. I told her to forget about it. Whenever att decides to do better business and live up to their word I may decide to subscribe to more services. As of now it's really a joke. I do a lot of research, read many reviews, before I pay a single dime to any service. So far the Uverse and other att services get a very bad reputation. C'mon att....

I don't know how someone could have continued to use your service. Did you return the TV boxes/equipment to ATT? That is required when service is terminated or you will be billed for that equipment. Nobody else can activate the TV boxes for another account.
Try contacting Alex, one of the AT&T Community Managers for further assistance.

I forgot to add... After I canceled my service, due to moving to another city, even though i called and scheduled cut off of services, confirmed the scheduled cut off and everything... somebody (or att) reactivated my service in a city I did not live in and then continued to try and bill me for hundreds of dollars... it took me over 2 months of support calls to att to get it worked out, all the while they continued to bill me and screw up my credit... the best most fun part was att telephone support... you explain your problem to the first representative, they pass you to another wo passes you to another and again and again... after repeating my cases to at least 4 representatives i was passed to the asian support desk... i live in oklahoma.... this happened numerous times....

Regarding the rewards--you should receive a letter/note via snail mail that tells you to CLAIM your reward here: https://rewardcenter.att.com/
You might try contacting Alex to see if he can track down what happened?

It is always like this with att they scamming people to order something by promising some rewards and then dont give it actually & if you call all they gonna do is TRANSFER CUSTOMER 10 times! NOW THEY SENT ME A LETTER BEFORE OF PIZZA REWARDS FOR ANNIVERSARY and i dont get none and it says on my rewards PROCESSING, wow its been months! I still do not received it.....knew it. Can att just stop sending mail for customer saying about a reward we gonna get and we do not get it! And so you know those managers that you are asking to call us (customers) is not even helping so what is the purpose of the forum saying you guys will help. Scammers!!! You know its just a small amount of money but the point is the greediness of att. What comes around goes around anyways.
You were checking on a reward that you did not receive in 2008? Don't you think waiting 4 years to follow-up is a bit late?

I ordered Uverse and started service on 10/9/12. I was supposed to "automatically" receive a Prepaid Visa card after I had the service for 30 days. After 30 days I called AT & T regarding the Visa card. I was told I should be getting it in the mail soon. Today (12/3/12), I called again and was told to call the "Rewards" Department. According to them, I had to call and "claim" the rewards card and then they will mail it out and I should receive it in 4 to 6 weeks. This is not what I was told previously. I was told that I had to do nothing and my rewards (Visa card) would be mailed to me. One department of AT&T doesn't know what the other department is doing and you have to go through too many departments to get anything done. I doubt seriously that I will ever receive the Visa card.

Nothing is automatically setup. After your initial 30 days you have to go to the rewards center and fill out the information. Then it will be shipped in 4 - 6 weeks.
Since you are past the time frame to recieve your card, I would recommend that you send a private message to the escalation team at ATT Customer Care and someone will get in touch with you. Their normal business hours are from 7am to 10pm Central Time. Please take into account weekends when contacting them.
Customer care is not the same as customer service. They are a dedicated escalation team that gets issues resolved when other means have failed.

keep in mind the rewards programs its 100 for new service/product that you sign up for and maintain.BUT keep in mind you also have to get the new service/product at non-promotional pricing. otherwise and discount on a service/product (like internet for example) will replace the 100 card for the internet portion.this happened to me when i had signed up but i diddnt mind because the discount was alot better!and less of a hassel.!but make sure you check att.com/rewardsandrebates to see if you are eligible !<--- they also have good freq. asked questions sections which is super helpful!and what i use to help people out on the forum!
That's not true, I'm getting a two year promo price and still got a $100 rewards card when I signed up for my new service.

I just wanted to say that I did contact Customer Care and they got back to me within a day and asked for my contact # to call me. A woman named Nancy called me and immediately told me the reason why my Reward card was denied after all this time, when no one else did. I was erroneously informed by the salesman n the AT&T Corp store that I qualified for this reward, when I didn't. She made good for the promise and resolved my issue. I wish it could have been this easy from the start. She as great! Thank you Nancy.

When we moved in January this year we decided to check out our options. After consulting Comcast, Direct TV and AT & T we decided on At & T because they offered us $417 in reward cards. They told us that we would automatically get the first $200 after a short time and the second $217 after 30 days provided our account was up to date. We have received ZERO so far. In fact we are not even listed on the Reward Site!
When I called and EVENTUALLY got through I was told that "Sorry but we cannot offer you that deal"! The most I was offered was $200!!!
Due to the fact that it was the REWARD card that persuaded us to sign up I believe that AT & T has committed fraud. They fraudulently persuaded us to sign based on a promise that they never had any intention of keeping.
Can someone convince me that their actions are NOT ILLEGAL?
The cable companies believe their monopolization of the United States as agreed during the "summer of love" gives them the right to do anything they want. Who cares about the customer? Who cares about telling the truth?
So, what government or legal agency should I be contacting to address my concerns?
How can I make AT & T pay what they owe and apologize to me for the lies they told me?

Who told you that amount? $200 is the most I've ever heard of as a reward card and no reward card is sent until after your first 30 days of service then you have to log into the rewards center to claim it.
