U-verse BIlling Nightmare! !!

I bought u-verse in November of last year on a promotional plan. SInce then, I have had to call billing EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Each time they tell me "Yes, it is fixed. No more issues" - Guess what? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Getting ready to make my FIFTH CALL TO BILLING. Bet they will tell me it is fixed. What a screwed up company!!!

I've been having the same nightmare, starting in January. I also tried calling and got the run-around. The last time I was told to just keep paying the $24.95 I'd signed up for until the system caught up with itself. Never got an email confirmation of what I was told as I'd asked for.
This last bill I contacted Alex through here. I was going to also call again but decided to try this route first. I had a very helpful young man contact me. I had also been smart - or leery - enough to copy/print-out my checkout page before leaving it, so I had proof of what I had signed up for. After that page when signing up, you never again, in any communication, see the price/details of what you've committed to.
I must say that the gentleman that Alex put me in touch with was extremely helpful. I'm confident this time things are taken care of - finally!!!
Contacting Alex seems the way to go. The call center people tell you what you want to hear and then it's same as it ever was.

You're not alone. AT&T encouraged us to switch to U-Verse to "reduce our bill" back in March. They offered us a promotional cost of $59.99, which we've yet to see on any of our bills. The last bill was for $95.00. We will call customer service one more time, but if they can't fix it on the next bill, we will be looking for an alternative. Too bad - the service itself is not bad. But on principle I hate to encourage companies with bad customer service and who like to "bait and switch."

As JFW suggested in one of the posts above, send Alex a PM he is an ATT Community Manager on the forum. He will get you to the right dept/person to get your issue resolved.

I have contacted Alex as well as phoning AT&T customer service directly. I have not heard back from Alex or any official representative through this forum. However, when we phoned AT&T, we were told a "new division" of AT&T has been created to handle "problems like these." I think this pricing scam is much, much bigger than any of us realize.

Alex was most likely out of the office for the long holiday weekend and is probably a little backed up, send another PM and he or someone will be in touch.

Did you click on the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of the page to check your messages?

I contacted Alex through PM and I have to say that someone under him named Sam Lewis got the issue cleared up by the very next evening ( yesterday! - I had just PM'd the day before!).
Much better than the people I had to speak to on the phone every month since March ( - when I actually got the connection - though I had applied for it last November). Definitely a better source for problematic issues to be escalated to if you want them solved.
