In December, 2011 I was told DSL was no longer available in my neighborhood (I have since learned this wasn't true), so I signed up for U-verse internet (12Mbps). I was told the price was $48/month, but that I would be receiving a 12 month promotion for $36/month.
Last month I was billed $48, plus fees and taxes. I called AT&T. The fellow I spoke with told me this was an error, he said he would make an adjustment to my bill and that I should only be billed $36/month until December, 2012. Well, I was billed $48, plus fees and taxes again this month. Do I have call AT&T each and every month until next December to remind them about this promotion?
I'm just flabbergasted.. the fellow I spoke with last month assured me this was taken care of. How do I get this issue resolved once and for all?

I sent a PM to Alex, who contacted me and put me in touch with a manager who is in the process of straightening out my billing issue. I'm very pleased with how quickly this is getting dealt with!
Thanks very much for your help!

I am in the same boat buddy....I allowed $300 for one year of internet, The telephone ladies are very nice and helpful, and helped me get the rebate that didn't arrive as promised, THEN they said that I would be charged $25 a month if I just wait, but still I am being charged $48 a month....My service started in Oct.2011... I will call on Monday and I hope they will fix it, BUT IF YOU DON"T WATCH YOUR BILL and call THEY OVERCHARGE YOU....It's just not right....So disappointed with them....I like the service, but wil look for another provider that will give me things in writing...they wouldn't send me a contract...the phone people say "I see it on the computer screen that you are signed up for $24.95 a month" and say I have to trust them that the bill will work out...the Reps are very sweet....and they understand because so many others call with the same complaint...BUT a big company like ATT, cheating you if you don't watch your bill.... is just not right....so dissapointed in the company....

Try contacting Alex, one of the AT&T Community Managers for further assistance. He can find out why this is still going on. That's too long, usually 2-3 mos. for billing to get corrected.
