Dear AT&T,
I just want to express my deep frustration and hatred to your service. I am your consumer, i pay my bills on time with my hard earned money and I never missed a single bill since i've become your customer. In return, what do I get? A less than mediocre service.
I am subscribed to your so-called "Max Plus" internet service and I should say that it's terribly slow. I only get less than 6 Mbps of speed, that's less than a third of what you're making me pay for. An apology is not acceptable for this mediocrity.
Like many of your customers, I work hard everyday to earn the money I'd have to pay for my AT&T bill. I hope, you do the same thing to bring the quality of service that we, your customers, diligently pay for. And if you'll reason out that it's probably because of my location that I don't get that much speed, then let me tell you this, what if I pay my bill based on the speed I get (which apparently is significantly less than what I am paying for)?
If, in two weeks, my connection doesn't improve, then I have no choice but to cut my service. I know, i would have an immaterial effect on your earnings but I do hope that customers that feels the same way as I do right now realize this and eventually make a wise decision.
Sincerely,
Your very dissatisfied customer

Instead of writing letters, have you tried to to resolve the issue with your internet speed? If so, what has been done?

Posting here will not get your issues resolved. If you have called technical support and not gotten your problem fixed, contact Alex. one of the community managers on here. He or someone from his team will get in touch with you.

Of course I had! I tried resetting the whole system a few times now. I called the customer service and they said it's probably due to my location. I'm not stupid enough to rant about this without doing anything on my end.

Well, now you have come to the right place for help!
A few questions:
1. What are your results at the following speed test websites?
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
2. Are you getting the same speeds with both wired and wireless connections?
3. What O/S is on your PC?
Also, can you download and install SomeJoe's tool at the link below?
http://www.uverserealtime.com/
Once you install the tool, please post screenshots of the following tabs: IP/Profile, Error Table, Bitloading, & Coax/HPNA.
We can take a look at the screenshots to see if there appears that you might be an issue with your system.

Nah forget it. I left AT&T (internet and cable) and I'm so happy with my Road Runner internet connection. I'm not having interruptions, I'm getting faster service for a lower price. I feel so released from all the stress I had with AT&T.
I should say AT&T is a ripoff. They must improve their service and facilities. They collect ridiculously high bill for a ridiculously poor service.

I've had TWC internet and it's no better than UVerse. I've had UVerse for 3 years in 3 different locations and have not had a single issue with my service. Enjoy your new provider.

Thanks.
I had been with TWC before for more than two years before I switched to AT&T when I moved to a new apartment to give it a try (as I've seen from their ads that they have better connection). I've never had problems with TWC then so after switching to AT&T, I was so disappointed.
