Home phone and internet. I called AT&T to inquire about a better rate. The rep suggested I go to Uverse and it would be less so I did. My bills went from $60 to $80 a month and my first bill was over $300! I called retention and was told they couldn't give me a better rate. I got no assistance so I called back and asked to cancel. The rep confirmed I had no contract so there is no ETF and i canceled. I received my final bill which was $14.01 credit and then yesterday I got a bill with an ETF of $120. I called and the 1st rep confirmed I had no contract and sd she would xfr to get removed. I was xfr 3 times until I got to a sup and was told that when I signed up for the promotion I consented to the contract and it sd it in my "Welcome Letter". How can they sign me up and then tell me I am in a contract? Which is a LIE. I was a loyal customer for about 5 years and always paid my bills. Do you really want me to decide never to come back to AT&T? This would do it.
