Dear ATT driver that is speeding down the alley behind my home in Hollywood Hills, FL (33021). Please stop. The first time you flew down the alley, I ignored it, but it appears that you drove around the block just to do it again, only this time, you were going about 40 mph, down a bumpy lane as narrow as a one lane driveway. You were going so fast, that your suspension couldn't control the vehicle and the whole van was hopping up and down, like you had a low rider hydrolic kit attached, and you were showing it off to your friends, to the beat of Snoop Dog. I've never seen a vehicle blur by through the alley. I didn't think anyone would be that foolish, since all someone would have to do is open their back gate and get run over by your vehicle. It's a good thing I didnt need to take out the trash just at that moment; more importantly, I'm glad I didn't ask my son to take out the trash at that moment.
I know our alley's look like a speedways, with all the classic 3/2 ranches, swing sets and swimming pools as your scenery, but it's not. Please find another neighborhood to torment, or better yet, just stay in yours. If you don't know how to respect our community, you are not welcome.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Suburban Soccer Mom

That's interesting since their vehicles are tracked for speed and location at all times.

I've had to pass around them many times, so I have always thought they were being monitored.
If the suspension is bouncing the vehicle all around, they need to fix that as it's unsafe for the driver as well!
Let us know what you find out.

I've never seen anything fast moving with an AT&T logo on it. Vehicle or person. Just sayin. Maybe it was stolen? Tech left it in the alley while doing work and someone jumped in and went for a joy ride then dumped it? Seems anything is possible.

@spd, the suspension was probably fine. It's that they were driving in an alley that isn't kept as smooth as the road. It's a little lumpy and would be fine if they were going 5mph (which is what I would recommend). It's too tight and bumpy to go any faster. Plus, most of the fences go right to the edge, as well as some over growth.
Ironic that you should mention someone dressing as cable guys. We just moved here 6 mos ago, and a few days after we had cable installed, some guy, w/ a Comcast logo on his truck, wearing a reflective vest and hard hat rang my bell around 6pm. He showed me my work order from a few days before and said he was here to check the work and asked if it was okay. Thankfully, I had a house full of painters and contractors. I looked at him, and said, "No one called from Comcast to say that anyone would be by." I took the paperwork and called Comcast. They said that someone was sent over a few days before, but nothing had been scheduled since. I was in the middle of dealing w/ a problem shower door install when he rang, so I was distracted and didn't get his picture and the license plate, like I should have. After he left, I thought that he was a bit overkill w/ the logos, name tag, reflective vest, etc. One this was, he had a hard hat on, but our neighborhood has buried utilities. Why would he need a hard hat to check service that's buried under ground? The ADT "guys" stopping by were another suspicious lot. They were relentless!
@Bee, I doubt it was stolen. My take on it was, he had to work on a Sunday, it was late in the day and he probably passed the house he needed to get to the first time I saw him go by. The second time, I suspect he was flying so fast because this block is about 1/2 mile long and he was angry that he passed it the first time.
Ironically, today there was another ATT van that stopped right behind my house for a good 15 min. I just happen to be in the kitchen, and was watching him. It looked like he was doing paper work and just wanted to pull off of the road. I doubt it was the same driver; this guy drove carefully, the way you're supposed to drive down a narrow, bumpy alley in the 'burbs.

We're buried here, too, but they will ask for permission to go out back (all utilities), or maybe just seeing if anyone is home.

However, I just got a call from Mike, an ATT rep, inquiring about the situation and he's going to send this info to the right person and get this guy to "cool his jets."

Great that they're investigating it!
Yeah, Comcrap held me hostage for over 20 yrs.! Many cableco's in all those years before Time Warner became Comcrap here. Constant bill increases a couple of times a year, service going out for no reason, bad picture quality...yeah, I HATE them a LOT! ![]()
I didn't think to realize you weren't a UV customer...yet. ![]()

Nope, not a UV custy... yet! Truthfully, I don't know anyone that has Comcrap and thinks that they're great. Since we moved into this house, 6 mos ago, we've had issues with billing, including our service being cut off twice, for a mistake on their part. Sure, they gave us free SHO and HBO to get us to stay, but I would rather pay and have good service. However, my all time favorite blunder of theirs was when they seperated from Excite@Home, 10 yrs ago, and I lost all of my email as well as all password recovery, that was linked to that account. Fortunately, I stopped using them for email. Fast fwd 10 years to December 2011. I move 6 miles and when I try to check my account to find out why the automatic payments aren't working, I can't get into my account. So, I call a Comcrap rep and she tells me that I'm putting in the wrong LogIn name. I said, "Excuse me?!" She goes on to tell me my log in name. Turns out, that when I moved 6 miles away, within the exact same Comcast zone, I lost my log in name, along with any and ALL email! When you move they change your account number. When they change your account number, you LOSE everything!! Whoa!!! Can you imagine if you were using that email addy for business or school and just LOST everything?!!! I still can't wrap my head around it. It's unreal that a technology company, could be that bass ackward.
