I've called multiple times to cancel my Uverse account and I keep getting the runaround. The first few times I called the office was closed and I had to call back during normal business hours.
Today I call during normal hours and get put on hold. It has now been 2 hours and 3 minutes and I have to go on with my ilfe.
This kind of customer service is exactly why I'm canceling my account.
Please let me cancel!

Call 800-288-2020, enter in a non-POTS phone number (can even be a cell number). When the automated guy asks what you need, say Cancel which will bring you to Retentions department (they'll say customer service or sales/billing). Give them your account information, ask for their Agent ID, then tell them you want to cancel.

I'm not normally a Doubting Thomas but 2 hours on hold? If you still can't cancel by following the advice given above, try contacting Alex, one of the AT&T Community Managers for further assistance.
