A quick check and I didn't see anyone else having the issue. For the past few days any attempt to check voicemail online with either Firefox or IE is a deadend. In the top left when I click on "Voice Messages - X New" an orange box comes up in that area stating there is a system alert and we are experiencing difficulties - code 205. Firefox will call up the Quicktime player but not play anything and IE just gives the blue rotating dots. Nothing new on my end as far as PC installs or changes to prevent connection.
Anyone having this issue?

Thanks for the suggestion but that really isn't the resolve that I'm looking for. Neither browser has had any issues up until a few days ago so getting to the root of the problem and also checking to see if others are having the same problem is the real objective.

Interesting reply - thanks.
I should also mention that when I click on the "Save to Computer" option that the browser tries to connect but comes up with this error message - "Firefox can't find the server at umcsfs.att.com" - and a little more detail about the quicktime player that pops up to play the message is that there are no play or pause buttons shown. I've updated java this morning, run the plugin checker for FF disabled everything from every angle and find it strange that both FF and IE are experiencing playback issues and also displaying the system error message in the picture.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Until this can be resolved, I've installed the Vista sidebar voicemail viewer at https://www.um.att.com/vmviewer and will be test driving the iGoogle Homepage Users option.

I agree problems need to be fixed - just trying to say someone else experienced a problem.
In my case I'm using Safari on a Mac Pro with OS X 10.6.8 and am having similar problem here on Saturday.

I have been having exactly that problem. When I lookup "umcsfs.att.com" in DNS, the name exists but has no IP address. It looks as if they broke something.
I was able to "download" by emailing the voice message. But that's a rather tedious way of accessing voicemail.

I have had the exact same issue with the voice mail site too. I use Google chrome, so anyone trying to say it's an I.E. browser problem is definitely wrong. I have Chrome, Safari and I.E. on my pc and all experience the same problem as described by the O.P. (original post). These issues have been going on for over a week. I've resisted calling ATT support as it their initial support group will have me performing hours of tasks that have nothing to do with the problem.

On top of the error code of 205 that I've been seeing, I've also seen an error code of 500 in that same orange box at the top left.
Also intermittent times have been displaying in the missed call logs. I've seen times being off at 8 hours for days now. This morning a missed call at 10:26 was showing it was missed at 12:26 AM and the entire log was incorrect at - 8 hours. I logged out and then back in and the times went back to normal. Weird stuff going on.

I am having the exact same problem. Something has obviously broken on AT&T's end very recently, because it used to work just fine.
I use Chrome and FF7 on Windows 7.

I reported this problem 7 days ago and yet it still is broken. Even if I try to save the message to my computer, I get Server Not Found umcsfs.att.com
ATT has done absolutely nothing to fix this problem.

I had it once last week, but after clearing cookies and cache, haven't had an issue since.

Are you sure you had the same issue?
Just for kicks, I tried again just now using IE, since the last time I used it was to download Firefox. Got the exact same result. Quicktime loads, but nothing ever plays. Click to save/download the voicemail, and get the same type of result demonstrated in johncoby's screenshot.
Cleared cookies & cache in FF and tried it again - same result. It's broken.

And yet ATT hasn't done a thing about it. I was considering dropping ATT Uverse and cell phone and was looking for a sign. I think this is it. Im paying way too much for services without support.

The problems presented by each individual are not cookies or cache related. They, combined, are an issue that happened to each of us at about the same time and there is clearly an issue on the AT&T side that has been altered to create the reports.

@ oufanindallas - I am also curious, since it appears by your response that you are able to check your voice mail online through the channels we are addressing, when you click on the "Save to computer" option and the page changes to a new address, are you seeing "https://umcsfs.att.com/umc-sfs/SoundFileServlet?ms

The POTS messaging is on um.att.com. My son with u-verse voice tried it a couple of weeks ago & it did noi work.
Just for fun see if you can log in there.
BTW I just tried your links on Google DNS & chrome & got a not found, too.

When I select Save to Computer, I get the following screen. I can't get much more specific than that. Obviously umcsfs.att.com does not exist but the webpage continues to point to it. I can't listen to my voice mail via the web. The QuickTime bar is blank, and the save to computer doesnt work.
It is completely broken.

I have been unable to access my Voicemail messages by going online with Internet Explorer. I did a Chat Support and was told that there is a compatibility problem with using Internet Explorer to hear Voice Mail online. He had no forecast as to when this would be fixed but indicated he has had several "Chats" today with others who have the same problem. Basically the problem is that when I try to play a voice message I get an error message from IE. Was told that this has been going on for several weeks, that they have no forecast as to when this will be fixed. I'm very disappointed that a company as large as AT&T has no defined plan to fix a problem like this. The rep indicated that 90% of their customers use IE to access voice mail. His only suggestion was to use another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
Anybody else having this problem??

Its always a good idea to have more than one browser available when problems occur.

g=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" with a save option and if so, where is the "https://umcsfs.att.com" resolving to? I get "Firefox can't find the server at umcsfs.att.com" so understanding where the correct server is may help me pinpoint the problem.
Yes, I had the issue one time. I cleared my cookies and cache and was able to save after that. I don't know if you're still having issues or not, but my voice mail is working just fine online. It's the only way I check it.

oufanindallas - I'll ask again in hopes of an answer we can use. When you click on the "Save to computer" option and the page changes to a new address, where is the "https://umcsfs.att.com" resolving to? Does the umcsfs.att.com show in any portion of the address? I get "Firefox can't find the server at umcsfs.att.com" and IE just sits in limbo so understanding where the correct server is may help us pinpoint the problem. Are you at https://uversecentral3.att.com/uvp/myhome/uverse_v
You seem to be the only one on this thread who is able to check your voice mail through the UVERSE site and any information you can provide is appreciated. It is not a cookies or cache problem for me. I have been servicing computers since 1985 and know just enough to earn a living building, reparing and consulting for them so don't be afraid to give some good details on what you are seeing.
The poster above stated that there is an issue that AT&T can't fix right now so you may hold the key that we all need.

I really don't know what to tell you anymore. I sent you the picture of what happens when I click on SAVE TO COMPUTER. It directs me to "https://umcsfs.att.com" which the browser cannot find.
I try to hear my voice mail and it does not display the play, pause, or any button.
If you click on "https://umcsfs.att.com" does it resolve for you?

johncoby - you are getting bothered and replying to posts that are not addressed to you. The questions have been clearly addressed to oufanindallas who seems to be the 1 person in this thread that can access VM.

And here we are 2 weeks later and it STILL DOESN'T WORK!
Is there someone at ATT that I can actually talk to about this? A real person. Not someone in another country. someone at a keyboard trying to access voice mail and capable of either acknowledging there is a problem, or fixing it?
