I think you should remove the commercial with the kids swimming in the pool that has a TV sitting on a table next to the pool. This is very unsafe. Not only are the kids unsupervised, they could easily knock the TV off the table into the pool and get electrocuted. If kids see this on TV, they might get the idea to move the TV out by the pool.

Youi might want to contact the corporate offices about that commercial. This is the peer to peer forum for Uverse subscirbers. There are some ATT personnel here, their primary concern is to moderate the forum, and help subscribers with issues with billing, or services.

The picture on the television has to be a total fake. There is no way that you would get that good of a picture in the bright sunlight.
Here are a couple of web sites that give explainations for "yes siree, Bob". Those explainations most likely could go for "no siree, Bob", too.

I'm gonna bet that TV is at least 12 to 15ft from the pool. The camera angle makes it look closer.

FYI, there was a green screen attached to the front of the empty tv cabinet. Then the images are electronically added to the screen. The tv wasn't even plugged in. I was just amused by how effective video tricks are, that they can make people think the producers of that spot had a powered television next to a swimming pool. Good job.

I loved that commercial. The only wireless reciever commerical I don't care for is the one room makeover one. The rest are all pretty funny.

The other way you can tell it's fake is there is no Press OK to See Recorded Programs banner on the bottom of the screen while they are watching something on a wireless box...

You have to be kidding, right? Was the set actually plugged in? Were you there? Haven't you ever heard of "simulated screen image?" Shees! Maybe for all of the folks "who just don't get it," AT&T may have to add some fine print "the set is not plugged in - we aren't that dumb" or "no children were harmed in the making of this commercial", etc.
Maybe we need a hair dryer, too......
I agree, I LOVE the "Yessiree Bob." "Who's Bob?" banter.

Good catch!![]()
Bottom line, kids need to be taught to not do everything they see others do on TV or in real life. Parenting, it's a tough job!

I agree with everyone. My point was that it shows a plugged in (see orange extension cord) tv, close to a pool, sitting on a little table. Not something you should do. Although you should teach your kids not to do that, some kid somewhere will see it and try it. Hopefully no one will get hurt.

I watched that commercial today. The TV is really not close to the pool. The TV could fall off the table, and it not even be close to falling into the pool. The TV is outside where it can be viewed from the pool.

That can be true for alot of things you see on TV, not just commercials. IMO

Pretty much anything seen on TV including armed robbery and murder.
