Hi,
I ported my tel # over to Ooma & Att TOLD me I had to go w/Uverse!! instead of a DSL Direct (it's called a stand-alone w/o an ATT phone line. Anyway, it's a very long story but I'll ask two things: 1) How can I have internet Uverse w/o having the new modem installed???? I'm not paying the crazy bill sooooo 2) I need the correct Dispute Resolution Center for this (it's all extremely confusing trying to find it online) Thanks to anyone that can answer my two questions!!!

Not sure that I understand your questions. In order to have U-verse internet, you must us the modem supplied by AT&T.
If you have some issues that are not resolved, send a PM to Alex who is an AT&T Community Manager on this forum.
Also, check the settings on your account to make sure that you will receive email notification when a PM is received on this forum.

HI EVERYONE,
I WROTE BEFORE BUT NOT TOO SURE IF I'M DOING ANY OF THIS RIGHT....(old lady here) BUT I PORTED MY ATT TEL # TO OOMA AND ATT FORCED ME TO TAKE UVERSE......WHICH I DON'T WANT TO BECAUSE W/ALL THE PROBLEMS IT WILL MESS UP MY PHONE.....ANYWAY, MY QUESTION IS --- I SUPPOSEDLY WAS HOOKED UP OUTSIDE BUT THE MODEM CAME LATER AND I NEVER INSTALLED IT - NEVER TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX ----THEN I GET A BILL FOR UVERSE $78 AND ALSO MY REGULAR INTERNET BILL SEPARATELY. I GUESS MY DSL JUST STAYED ON???
CAN THEY BILL ME IF I DON'T HAVE THE MODEM INSTALLED FOR UVERSE??????????????????

Contact Alex he is an AT&T Community Manager on the forum. Click on the link below and you will be taken to his profile. Near the upper right hand part of your screen you will see "Send this user a message" or something to that effect. Click on that statement and you will be able to send Alex a Private Message.
